Our client is a subsidiary of a renowned property conglomerate of companies and they now seek to recruit a Facilities Manager for a key master planned high rise mixed use development project in Doha, Qatar that is valued in excess of USD2B. This role is responsible for providing management and supervision of the Facilities Management Service Providers and to coordinate the facilities maintenance team to ensure objectives are met and SLA’s/KPI’s are adhered to.

Reporting to the CEO, this role is responsible for the following:

• Project management, supervising and coordinating work of contractors
• Calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money
• Managing and leading change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities
• Liaising with tenants of commercial properties
• Directing and planning essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling
• Ensuring the building meets health and safety requirements
• Planning best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings
• Checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies
• Using performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead on improvement
• Plan, organize and control operation in a professional manner ensuring prompt, efficient and quality service to the clients in line the contract and client specification.
• Set objectives and ensure that all Service Providers are performing within the scope of work achieving excellence in service.
• Ensure that Management Team is well informed about contractual obligations in their given areas of activities.

Job Skills The attributes we seek for this successful candidate include:

• Degree qualification in Construction, Engineering or comparable with a minimum of 5 years in-depth management experience in a similar facilities management role.
• Strong working knowledge of FM services and or technical experience and proven success managing service levels, performance standards and customer satisfaction.
• Excellent spoken and written English and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels; from Client CEO through to operational staff.
• Familiar with policies and procedures and recognises the importance of clearly defined processes and can implement detailed action plans to ensure compliance.
• Experience and understanding of QHSE requirements in a multi service environment
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work and make decisions when under pressure
• Can lead a team and manage them in such a way so as to maximize their potential.
• Ability to manage a varied and complex workload with excellent problem solving and decision making ability.
• Solid communication and negotiation skills.
• Candidates with experience in the Middle East will be highly regarded.
