What do we expect from you?

Under the guidance of the Director of Engineering or any other authorized by the management, to maintain equipment and building in high standard and to ensure that the hotel gives the illusion to every arriving guest that they are the only person to have used the facility.

1. To be responsible for plant – chillers, AC, chilled water, Pumps, Boilers, including testing and maintenance
2. To attend to repair and maintain refrigeration equipment, chillers, walk-in cooler, and freezers
3. To ensure that Health & Safety legislation records are logged and maintained
4. To source and Contract suppliers as required
5. To organize schedules & method of works and risk assessments for plant-related areas
6. To be on call for any plant emergency
7. To carry out PPM checks
8. To carry out all air conditioning and refrigeration system management and servicing
9. To participate in the hotel's energy conservation program
10. To attend all on-job training in accordance with the departmental standard and procedures
11. To supervise the issue of tools relating to the Engineering department and their safe return
12. To be responsible for contractors working on site, their safety induction, and maintenance of records of all jobs undertaken
13. To liaise with contractors and suppliers
14. To raise, accept, and monitor POs
15. To accept deliveries in an appropriate and timely manner
16. To supervise the maintenance team and any external contractors who may be employed by the hotel to carry out maintenance work
17. To ensure that all records in the areas of health and safety are kept up to date
18. To form part of the fire team and assist in any emergencies which may arise
19. To monitor the utility readings for the hotel to ensure good power management
20. To be aware of changes in regulations, environmental issues
21. To carry out other work which might reasonably be required and to be available for emergency callout
22. To work closely with Assistant Director of Engineering to help re-organize the department to ensure an efficient process of working
23. To plan small guest projects to ensure minimum impact
24. To oversee the team’s work and contractors’ work to ensure deadlines are met and work is completed to a set standard
