Full Job Description
We are looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and
enthusiastic Head of Media Studies to start in August 2024. You will
be responsible for raising the profile of the subject and for
monitoring and evaluating student achievement, as well as contributing
to accomplishing the College s vision and mission and, in particular,
continuing to implement media literacy across the Secondary
School.
All our classrooms are equipped with interactive
smartboards, and students receive iPads upon joining the school,
whilst teachers receive both an iPad and a laptop. The school also has
a film studio with a green screen and a range of up-to-date
equipment.
About you
To be successful, you will be an advanced
practitioner able to teach Media to KS4 (International L2 BTEC) and A
Level at KS5, as well as English to KS3, who sets a standard that
other teachers look to emulate.
We are a British international
school, and all of our lessons are taught in English. A high standard
of written and spoken English is, therefore, essential. Applicants
should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of
the school vision, including co-curricular activities.
