Full Job Description
Primary Objective :
To provide electrical discipline specific
engineering services to Worley and its clients, and technical support
and supervision within the discipline and to other disciplines by
leading a discipline team.
Specific Accountabilities :
• Builds
positive working relationships with external parties such as the
customer, suppliers, and contractors.
• Supports proposals by
developing the discipline execution strategy, estimating costs,
writing proposal content, and presenting to customers.
• Ensures
discipline technical work and team activities meet all health, safety,
environmental, and security requirements
• Provide specialist
technical support, supervision and advice to the discipline and
project teams; participate in peer reviews;
• Ensures recognised
offshore engineering practices applicable to Electrical design
engineering are adopted within the discipline.
• Initiate, manage
and supervise engineering assignments on projects that meet project
requirements on time and within budget.
• Organise and manage all
aspects of the workload of a team of Electrical discipline engineers
and designers, within the parameters of a project schedule.
•
Understands and applies the Project Execution Plan (PEP) requirements
- make-up and application (including the Engineering Plan).
• Lead
the production of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data,
calculations and reports
• Focuses team on achievement of
milestones and other key project objectives.
• Quality Assurance
work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance
systems.
• Safety responsible for personal safety and working
within the Occupational Health & Safety procedures
Job Specific
Knowledge :
• Development of Single line protection, control and
metering diagrams for 220 kV GIS Substation, 66 kV GIS switchgear,
11kV switchgear/Motor control, 415 switchgear/MCC with automatic bus
transfer scheme.
• Prepare detail design packages including
detailed AC and DC schematic, Wiring diagrams, Equipment layout, Cable
and Panel Schedules, Interconnections, Power, Grounding and lighting
layouts.
• Conducted, reviewed and issued Power System Load Flow,
Short Circuit studies, Protection Coordination. Used voltage drop,
equipment sizing, lighting Calculations and cable sizing.
•
Extensive knowledge of international standards and their
applicability.
Industry-Specific Experience :
• Extensive
work experience at a senior level within the Oil & Gas industry.
•
Extensive technical, practical and leadership experience in the
electrical discipline in the same or similar industry, including
experience managing and leading multi-disciplinary projects and
teams.
Education Qualifications, Accreditation, Training :
•
Full-Time Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an
accredited university
• MME (Ministry of Municipality and
Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement.
Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve
this within the probationary period.
• Chartered Professional
Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an
advantage
