Description :

Job Overview:

Responsible to manage the distribution of customer orders by engaging in thorough planning and execution of distribution plans to ensure efficient cost control and high customer satisfaction.

Responsible to monitor the GPS tracking systems to ensure proper tracking and documentation of vehicle movements to avoid customer deliveries delay.

  • Identify cost effective distribution plans taking into consideration roadway traffic flow, stipulated road blocks by Government and manage distribution operation to achieve business plans.
  • Ensure optimal resource availability and allocation of vehicles and drivers on a daily basis considering workloads, number of deliveries and roadway traffic block times / duration.

·Ensure availability of sufficient resources (e.g. drivers) to carry out the day-to-day operations of logistics and prepare daily shift rosters for the staff.

·Monitor daily distribution routes through GPS and identify improvements to service time and fuel usage reduction to ensure cost effective operations.

·Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure vans are meeting standard operating procedures and policies, such as temperatures, humidity, sanitation standards, etc.

  • Ensure Company policies on Personal Hygiene, work uniforms and Food Safety are adhered to, by team members at all times.
  • Monitor customer complaints pertaining to deliveries and service staff to ensure immediate resolution through disciplinary actions, if needed.
  • Liaise with Central Kitchen to identify daily orders and ensure timely and accurate customer deliveries.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance plans to ensure that delivery vehicles undergo maintenance as per the schedule that helps in assuring timely upkeep of delivery fleet.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions for team members on Companies Policies, work standards, and personal hygiene
  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as required by Direct Manager

Skills

Skills:

  • Bachelor degree is preferable.
  • Knowledge of setting up route plans and monitoring using GPS
  • Knowledge of preparing route allocations
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Strong planning skills
  • The ability to lead and motivate the team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Flexibility and respectful
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point & Outlook
