Job Description :
The incumbent will be responsible for managing all the Group s merchant acquiring businesses in order to achieve the pre-agreed volume and revenue/ profit targets. The incumbent will develop relationships with new merchants and enhance existing relationships in order to increase the Group s merchant base.
Job Responsibilities :
• Develop and implement strategies and plans to achieve pre-agreed volume and revenue/ profit targets for the merchant acquiring business in close coordination with individual market acquiring heads, issuing business heads, Corporate/SME, Risk, Compliance and servicing departments.
• Monitor merchant transactions/ volume and formulate appropriate merchant retention strategies to minimize attrition in consultation with the appropriate internal teams.
• Maintain efficient relationships and provide quality service to all merchants with respect to the initial POS machines installation / eCommerce implementation and subsequent maintenance thereof, including prompt resolution of issues/ complaints pertaining to the same.
• Responsible for devising and implementing targeted merchant campaigns to increase merchant acceptance of cards.
• Deliver a full year plan, which manages the key driver of net account growth from sustainable acquisitions with focus on key drivers, objectives, and achieving business targets
Essential Qualifications:
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in cards and retail payment acceptance
• Prior experience in a leadership role, preferably at a bank or financial institution
• Strong understanding of cards and retail payment systems and processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to think strategically and drive results
Desired Experience:
• University graduate preferably with a Major in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology (related field of study), Masters preferred
• At least 12 years of relevant experience, preferably within a highly rated international bank.
• Well-informed of the merchant acquiring business practices and related chargeback rules and regulations.
