Senior Traffic Signals Engineer

Full Job Description

My client is a leading UK based engineering consultancy who have recently been awarded a 5 year contract to provide highway asset management for Doha, Qatar. As part of that programme they are looking to recruit a Senior Traffic Signals Engineer to carry out the following;

- Carry out modelling of traffic signal junctions.
- Ensure traffic signals are maintained to a high standard.
- Explore current working practises and make recommendations to improve the service provided.
- Attend design meeting to provide traffic signal expertise.
- Implement the project requirements to fully meet the clients specifications and relevant standards.
- Carry out site visits, surveys, inspections and supervise sub contractors.
- Prepare and check feasibility studies, inspection, assessment and technical reports and other written documents.
- Comply with regulations such as health and safety and environmental.
- Prepare/check design approach, calculations, drawings and documents.

Candidates should have a degree in electrical or electronic engineering and must have a proven background in traffic signal design and traffic signal maintenance. Candidates should have project management experience and have experience of dealing with clients, developers, consultants and the public.
