Undertake Reservoir Engineering studies of the QatarEnergy operated offshore Idd El-Shargi field to optimize field development plans as well as analyze reservoir and well performance data, decline curve analysis, pressure transient analysis and material balance. Prepare reservoir surveillance programs and conduct reservoir management activities. Prepare detailed/integrated development plans for underdeveloped hydrocarbon resources and participate in interdisciplinary reservoir study teams.
Principal Accountabilities
- Perform advanced horizontal wells PTA interpretation such as deconvolution, multi-layer reservoirs and double porosity systems, using noisy and incomplete buildup and falloff data sets.
- Construct/update dynamic black oil and compositional reservoir models for field development planning.
- Perform the annual reserves review and generate long term production/injection forecasts for business planning and drilling/workover schedule.
- Contribute and integrate reservoir engineering inputs into the short term (drill/replacement well projects, workover projects and drilling/workover operations), medium term (reservoir voidage management) and long term (field development and asset value optimization) activities.
- Identify target reservoir(s) layers and determine well-reservoir contacts for new/replacement vertical/deviated/horizontal drilling projects into multi-layered heterogeneous reservoirs to optimize field development.
- Contribute to the well proposals/prognosis. Develop and prepare post-drill reservoir engineering reports including integration of interpreted reservoir engineering data with Geological & Petrophysical evaluations.
- Participate in preparing detailed integrated development plans for undeveloped hydrocarbon resources.
- Contribute to the reservoir engineering domain, to the fields' annual reviews.
- Recommend the acquisition of reservoir engineering data and maintain reservoir engineering databases including real time data links.
- Monitor work compliance by contractors for reservoir engineering data acquisition.
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching and development of Qatari staff.
Experience

- Minimum of 20 years work experience in reservoir engineering activities.
- Advanced knowledge of horizontal wells PTA interpretation such as deconvolution, multi-layer reservoirs and double porosity/permeability systems.
- Strong competency in constructing numerical reservoir simulation models (black-oil and compositional), model initialization, history matching, running sensitivities and predictions.
- Strong competency in transient well test design and interpretation, material balance modelling and performance prediction.
- Must have experience in mature carbonate fields.
- Strong competency in PVT, SCAL data analysis.
- Must be familiar with reserves evaluation, classification and booking (SPE PRMS or SEC standards).
- Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, less experienced staff, field staff and management.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Process Control, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechatronics Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline.
Master’s degree preferred. -
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in control systems engineering, DCS/PLC/SIS support, or instrumentation maintenance, preferably in Oil & Gas or chemical industries.
At least 3 years of direct ICS/OT cybersecurity experience.
Preferred: 7+ years in control systems and 5+ years in ICS cybersecurity. -
Technical Skills & Certifications:

Strong expertise in Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and security tools.

Knowledge of ICS cybersecurity standards including ISA/IEC 62443.

Experience with cybersecurity controls: firewalls, IDS/IPS, access control, antivirus, patch management, logging, incident handling.

Skilled in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and technical risk assessments.

Experience with network routing, switching, TCP/IP, and physical cabling for ICS.

Experience with DCS systems such as Emerson, Honeywell, or Yokogawa preferred.

Certifications such as ISA-62443 Level 1/2/3, CISSP, GICSP, CCNA, MCSE are highly desirable.

Job Description
To develop, implement and maintain a database of the refinery wide Material Balance by collecting, analysing, validating, investigating, reconciling and reporting ALL flows of feedstock and refined product into, within and out of the Refinery such as Crude Oil, Condensate, Gas, LPG, Gasoline, Diesel, Jet A-1, Naphtha, Fuel Oil, Intermediate Stocks, Sulphur etc.
Movement of feedstock and refined product into and out of the refinery from external companies need to be accurately represented and accounted for since it forms the basis of invoices issued to customers and payments to suppliers and have major financial, reputational and legal implications.
Experience
- At least 8 years in Refinery Production Planning and Scheduling.
- Understanding of IT technical standards and development methodologies.
- Analytical skills in Refinery production scheduling & refinery economics.
- Proficient with Planning & Scheduling and Production Accounting software tools.
- Good spoken and written English - communicates effectively
Qualifications
