Scope Of Work
Under the direct supervision of the Administrative Analyst and overall guidance of the Head of Office, the Senior Driver and Protocol Assistant provides reliable and safe driving services to the UNDP Qatar Office, including supporting the Head of Office and visiting delegations. The incumbent is also responsible for protocol and administrative support services (Mandoob services), including visa processing, customs clearance, and liaising with government offices to fulfill operational requirements ensuring highest standards of discretion and integrity, sense of responsibility, excellent knowledge of protocol and security issues. The Senior Driver and Protocol Assistant also demonstrates a client-oriented approach, courtesy, tact and ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
Upon request of the supervisor, the Driver may also be required to provide driving services to the operations and programme staff in the CO, consultants and experts and UN staff on mission.
- Provide reliable and safe driving services using office vehicle predominantly to the Head of office and other UN officials and visitors and ensuring protocol services as required.

Key Accountabilities
As Driver/Messenger, you will be responsible for helping us achieve this ambition:
- Serves as key transportation provider by driving various vehicles to pick up and deliver documents, mails, and people to various destinations.
- Keeps regular schedule picking up and delivering inter office, department, company and external company documents, mails, small packages, to and from all points.
- Ensure the office vehicle is in good running condition and report promptly if any repairs/maintenance checks required.
- Maintain service & appearance of the vehicle and making sure that the vehicle hygienically maintained as per corporate standard.
- Timely collection of all mails in the post office and assist in the sorting process.
- Ensures delivery of documents to the correct personnel/department within QR Group.
- Updates the log book of documents delivered and received on a daily basis in order to ensure proper recording.
About you:
- High School qualification with minimum 2 years of work-related experience
- Must have a valid Qatari Driver’s License
- Good driving skills, familiar with city roads and aware of traffic regulations.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
