You may be assigned to a specific country but understand due to mission requirements you may be temporarily or indefinitely assigned to a neighboring country.
Must be ready, willing and able to change day-to-day work/tasks as the mission requirements at the assigned location may be fluid with lots of movement and change.
Ability to think quickly and deal with issues that may arise professionally, timely and appropriately.
Typing ability, basic computer skills, use of Windows, MS Word and MS Excel.
Conduct oneself in accordance with the local culture and customs.
Ability to function effectively and efficiently during extended periods of high pressure and stress.
All Linguists may be required to go on missions (outside the wire) and be physically fit to perform these duties.
Read, write, listen and speak with clear, concise grammar and pronunciation in the required foreign language(s) and English. Provide language or dialect specific translations using correct structure of sentences in the required language and English. Conduct consecutive, accurate translations and interpretations of on-going conversations and activities. Position may include, but is not limited to: DOCEX, VERBAL TRANSLATION, AUDIO TRANSLATION, TRAIN/SUSTAIN OPERATIONS.
Position requires all employees to be available to work any hours and any days depending on mission requirements.
Work and living conditions may be in extreme, austere, harsh conditions and is deployed to inherent overseas country(ies) that may be possible war zones and have considerable risk as part of the assignment.

- Successful reference, criminal and credit screening results
- U.S. citizen, active Secret or Top Secret level personnel security clearance

- Qualified per USCENTCOM requirements to deploy as a contractor accompanying the force
- Appropriate country clearance/visa, as applicable or required

Job DescriptionJob Objectives:
The Media Editor/Copywriter & Content Creator will assist in developing engaging and professional content that supports Qatalum's communication efforts, including PR campaigns, social media, blogs, video scripts, and corporate communications. The role will focus on contributing to content that effectively communicates the company's story, values, and achievements, while ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines and objectives. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather information and assist in the production of content that meets the needs of various departments. They will provide writing and editing support for internal and external communications, contribute to reports, and help coordinate editorial schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and edit high-quality content for press releases, newsletters, blogs, social media posts, and other corporate communications.
- Ensure all content is clear, accurate, well-researched, and aligned with Qatalum's brand and corporate guidelines.
- Contribute to the development of key corporate publications such as sustainability reports, project updates, and internal communications.
- Liaise with internal departments and stakeholders to gather relevant information for the development of content.
- Collaborate with project teams to document milestones and achievements, ensuring that content accurately reflects key projects.
- Work closely with the communications team to ensure alignment with Qatalum's overall communication strategy.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in content creation processes by suggesting ways to streamline and enhance the production of written materials.
- Ensure that all content aligns with the latest industry standards and best practices in corporate communications.
- Support in Multimedia Content: Assist in the creation of basic multimedia content, such as visuals and infographics, that complements written content.
- Work closely with the design team to ensure alignment between written and visual materials.
- Writing & Editing for Corporate Communications: Develop and refine content for external communication channels, ensuring consistency with Qatalum's brand messaging.
- Write content for press releases, corporate newsletters, and project updates that clearly communicate Qatalum's key messages to various audiences.
- Support the development and training of National employees.
- Provide input and recommend the continuous improvement of the company practices taking into account 'international best practice', changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
- Comply with all agreed occupational health, safety and environmental regulations in order to protect personnel and physical assets. Ensure that the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy state in order that work can be carried out safely and effectively.
- Generate or assist in the generation of any departmental reports as per management request, in a timely and accurate manner to meet company and department requirements governing reporting.
- Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
