Job Summary

This role is report to the EVP, Group Asset Management and provide specialist investment-related expertise in support of all members of the bank (most especially to those who are operating in a client-facing and/or business development role). Work particularly closely with (and in support of) the AWM divisions Relationship Managers, Business Developers and all other client-facing staff, as well as Fund Managers and Research Analysts. Participate actively in client meetings and discussions (in the role of Investment Strategist asset management products and services) where required by RMs/Business Developers, most especially with those in Private Banking, Retail and Asset Management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Be expert in all aspects of the investment banking business, particularly where the marketing and sale of investment products and services are concerned.
  • Assess clients investment needs and propose/recommend portfolios.
  • Construct client investment portfolios across asset classes and geographies.
  • Define asset allocation and re-allocation models.
  • Conduct portfolio valuations and revaluations, as a component of the portfolio construction/allocation/re-allocation process.
  • Contribute to the training and development of selected staff from all divisions re: the marketing and sale of investment products and services, with the specific aims of ensuring (a) a suitable level of expertise throughout the bank (b) the avoidance of miss-selling.
  • Be responsible for creating technical and product-related material in support of the banks investment sales activity, as well as organizing and running product workshops.
  • Support client-facing staff in responding to RFPs and designing, specifying, and quoting investment solutions.
  • Work especially closely with the Business Controls Manager in order to ensure, at all times, the propriety of the investment business booked, and that all regulatory obligations are fulfilled across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Be a client-orientated business developer, and not merely the product expert.
  • Be a primary Point of Contact for the Product Management staff, with responsibility for accurately refining, consolidating and communicating client needs, as well as prioritizing client requests.
  • Support the identification of new business opportunities re: the segmentation of clients and products, across all distribution channels.
  • Work with the Product Management unit to arrive at appropriate pricing structures/ policies.
  • Participate in regular business development discussions to review performance, to make product-related recommendations and to address any concerns. Contribute to the attainment of AWMs objectives, as measured by established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Promote cost consciousness and efficiency and enhance productivity, to minimize cost, avoid waste, and optimize benefits for the bank.
  • Contribute to the identification of new business opportunities, in conjunction with all unit heads.
  • Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent and delegate authority to the respective staff and monitor exercise of the same.
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of the important factors behind the bank&aposs financial & non-financial performance
  • Identify the market requirement for specific investment products/services based on established client need, of investments, portfolio management, funds administration, operational procedures and all forms of internal/external controls.
  • Exhibit a detailed understanding of economic fundamentals as well as an ability to analyze their impact on financial markets.
  • An understanding of global taxation issues.
  • A close understanding of how to construct/manage investment portfolios, in accordance with client circumstances (including retirement planning) and risk appetite.
  • Demonstrate pre-emptive thought leadership re: the suitability of all investment products/services.
  • Identify development needs (both personal and for others) and co-ordinate / organize appropriate technical and/or product training.
  • Ability to train and mentor colleagues, as required, proactively identify areas for professional development of self and undertake development activities. Seek out opportunities to remain current with all developments in professional field.
  • Take decisive action to ensure speedy resolution of unresolved grievances or conflicts within the team members. Identify development opportunities and activities for staff and facilitate/coach them to improve their effectives and prepare them to assume greater responsibilities.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor / Masters degree (Masters preferred) and MBA with a minimum 15 years experience in the investment management industry.
  • CFA (Level 3) is required, CIM (Chartered Investment Manager) or equivalent.
  • Ability to relate to clients, at all levels. Although this is primarily a product specialist role, the incumbent will clearly be interacting, frequently, with clients.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of management; Understanding of all relevant regulations, laws, policies and procedures in relation to investment management products and services.
  • Excellent communication skills in English - with Arabic ability an added advantage.
  • Strong business acumen, commercial awareness and revenue-generating skills.
  • Effective problem solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards. • Ensure all HVAC equipment is maintained and operable in all the HVAC plant room. • Ensure plan and carry out of Planned Preventive Maintenance for all the HVAC equipment for (hotel guest rooms, public areas, BOH areas, service apartments, residences and all the plant rooms) according to scheduling. • Ensure tag-out and lock-out procedures are followed when working on electrically powered equipment. • Ensure the use of all required of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) while on duty. • Ensure maintenance records are kept up to date. • Perform safe operation methods and procedures in troubleshooting of all equipment system including steam and chilled water heat transfer systems. • Performs tasks of rebuilding valves, mechanical wielding, brazing, and fabrications, replacing worn parts and accomplishing other major repairs to the HVAC equipment. • Regular maintenance and perform scheduled inspections, clean components, lubricate moving parts, and replace worn-out parts to prevent breakdowns and optimize system performance. • Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, engines, pumps, belts, fans, and other processing units. • Monitor all BMS system and make sure all BMS connected equipment’s are in well communicating with BMS. • Perform routine maintenance on the chiller unit to prevent malfunctions and ensure efficient operations. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair. • Familiarize with the design and layout of the hotel and obtain understanding of operating procedures. • Perform safe operation methods and procedures in troubleshooting of all equipment system including steam and chilled water heat transfer systems. • Respond promptly to Knowcross service orders made from made for requests, assistance, or emergency work orders. • Check the logbook for follow up jobs. • Take the utilities meter reading and update in the system accordingly. • Check with duty engineer/Engineering supervisor for the priority job. • Ensure close the maintenance request in communication devise after completing the job. • If the maintenance takes longer time to complete, immediately communicate with the Engineering Supervisor and Duty Engineer. • Always keep premises clean and tidy after completing the job. • Communicate with Duty engineer/Engineering supervisor of daily work progress before ending the shift. • Ensure log down into the logbook before ending the shift. • Follow all the Departmental procedures and instructions. • Follow hotel policy and procedure while entering guest rooms for repairs. • Ensure tag-out and lock-out procedures are followed when working on electrically powered equipment. • Always maintain safety procedures/conditions in working area and other associated areas. • Understand and practice hotel emergency fire precaution procedures. • Ensure team work to achieve engineering departmental goal. • All the plant rooms (HVAC), workshop area and all equipment’s are clean and in good working condition. • Maintain and repair all guestrooms and public areas in accordance with the Perfect Room Program (PRP) procedures and standards guideline. • Report all incidents and work-related injuries concern department and DOE. • Attending all training arranged by Hygiene, Health & Safety Manager such as safety training, safety Induction, on the job training, toolbox talks, etc. • Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as power outages, plumbing failures, or HVAC issues, to ensure the safety and comfort of guests. • Monitor Knowcross application and respond promptly to any escalated requests made for problems, assistance, or emergency work orders.

As a Hotel Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all hotel equipment, systems, and facilities.   • Basic Qualifications

    Role Overview

    As a QA/QC PLC Automation Technician , you will play a critical role in ensuring that our PLC panel assemblies meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for supervising assembly works, performing quality checks, and ensuring strict adherence to design and safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise PLC panel assembly activities to ensure compliance with design drawings and technical specifications.
    • Conduct thorough QA/QC inspections, including wiring accuracy, functionality tests, and documentation reviews.
    • Perform PLC panel power-up, IO checkout, logic/HMI internal testing, and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) both internally and with clients.
    • Collaborate with the design team for red markups and resolve any discrepancies in drawings or wiring.
    • Prepare detailed progress and quality reports, highlighting key metrics and improvement areas.
    • Ensure all work complies with QCS2014 and established safety protocols.
    • Maintain proper documentation of all inspections, test procedures, and findings.

    Qualifications & Skills Required

    • Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, or related technical field.
    • 7-8 years of hands-on experience in QA/QC roles within automation, PLC panel assembly, or system integrator environments.
    • Strong knowledge of PLC wiring techniques, industrial automation standards, and schematic interpretation.
    • Proficient in reading and analyzing design drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Preferred: Valid Qatar Visa with NOC and driving license.

    • Excellent English skills. Additional languages are a plus.
    • Strong technical knowledge of equipment and machinery, with a preference for brands such as Tadano, Liebherr, Demag, Hitachi, and Grove.
    • Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, mechanical repairs, hydraulics and electrical systems.
    • Skilled in reading and interpreting technical documentation, including schematics and blueprints.

    Job Summary

    Maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for guests and staff. This involves conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting system issues, performing preventive maintenance, and collaborating with other departments to address HVAC-related needs. Be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to energy efficiency initiatives within the hotel.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities

    • Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
    • Ensure all HVAC equipment is maintained and operable in all the HVAC plant room.
    • Ensure plan and carry out of Planned Preventive Maintenance for all the HVAC equipment for (hotel guest rooms, public areas, BOH areas, service apartments, residences and all the plant rooms) according to scheduling.
    • Ensure tag-out and lock-out procedures are followed when working on electrically powered equipment.
    • Ensure the use of all required of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) while on duty.
    • Ensure maintenance records are kept up to date.
    • Perform safe operation methods and procedures in troubleshooting of all equipment system including steam and chilled water heat transfer systems.
    • Performs tasks of rebuilding valves, mechanical wielding, brazing, and fabrications, replacing worn parts and accomplishing other major repairs to the HVAC equipment.
    • Regular maintenance and perform scheduled inspections, clean components, lubricate moving parts, and replace worn-out parts to prevent breakdowns and optimize system performance.
    • Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, engines, pumps, belts, fans, and other processing units.
    • Monitor all BMS system and make sure all BMS connected equipment’s are in well communicating with BMS.
    • Perform routine maintenance on the chiller unit to prevent malfunctions and ensure efficient operations.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair.
    • Familiarize with the design and layout of the hotel and obtain understanding of operating procedures.
    • Perform safe operation methods and procedures in troubleshooting of all equipment system including steam and chilled water heat transfer systems.
    • Respond promptly to Knowcross service orders made from made for requests, assistance, or emergency work orders.
    • Check the logbook for follow up jobs.
    • Take the utilities meter reading and update in the system accordingly.
    • Check with duty engineer/Engineering supervisor for the priority job.
    • Ensure close the maintenance request in communication devise after completing the job.
    • If the maintenance takes longer time to complete, immediately communicate with the Engineering Supervisor and Duty Engineer.
    • Always keep premises clean and tidy after completing the job.
    • Communicate with Duty engineer/Engineering supervisor of daily work progress before ending the shift.
    • Ensure log down into the logbook before ending the shift.
    • Follow all the Departmental procedures and instructions.
    • Follow hotel policy and procedure while entering guest rooms for repairs.
    • Ensure tag-out and lock-out procedures are followed when working on electrically powered equipment.
    • Always maintain safety procedures/conditions in working area and other associated areas.
    • Understand and practice hotel emergency fire precaution procedures.
    • Ensure team work to achieve engineering departmental goal.
    • All the plant rooms (HVAC), workshop area and all equipment’s are clean and in good working condition.
    • Maintain and repair all guestrooms and public areas in accordance with the Perfect Room Program (PRP) procedures and standards guideline.
    • Report all incidents and work-related injuries concern department and DOE.
    • Attending all training arranged by Hygiene, Health & Safety Manager such as safety training, safety Induction, on the job training, toolbox talks, etc.
    • Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as power outages, plumbing failures, or HVAC issues, to ensure the safety and comfort of guests.
    • Monitor Knowcross application and respond promptly to any escalated requests made for problems, assistance, or emergency work orders.

    • The wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory.
    • Report any defects in the building, plant, or equipment according to hotel procedure.
    • Ensure that any accidents to associates, guests or visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedures.
    • Attend Statutory Fire, Health & Safety training and be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning Fire, Health & Safety.
