About the Role:
We are looking for an Inside Sales Engineer to join our SI Buildings – Service Business Line . This role is critical to our sales success and will be responsible for co-ordination between customers and the internal sales team. You will be the central point of coordination between Account Managers, the Bid & proposal management team, Commercial and Operational teams. You will drive the preparation of high-quality technical and commercial offers by orchestrating cross-functional efforts and ensuring timely delivery of proposals.
Your Role – International, Challenging, and Future-Oriented:
- Support the sales and bid management process through effective coordination with the Commercial Team, Bid Manager, Estimation Team, and Sales Managers.
- Ensure payment terms are aligned with internal policies and agreed upon with Sales and Commercial stakeholders.
- Facilitate the estimation process by bridging required support and ensuring timely bid submissions.
- Engage with Sales to prioritize opportunities based on actual business requirements and strategic relevance.
- Coordinate with the Execution Team to validate engineering costs considered during the bid phase.
- Collaborate with the Pre-Sales team to ensure proposals meet customer expectations and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with Bid Manager throughout the bid lifecycle, ensuring all deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Provide support in estimation activities when required, ensuring precision and competitiveness.
- Ensure all offers are submitted in accordance with customer specifications and internal standards.
- Maintain high-quality documentation across all stages of the bid and sales process, including bid files, estimation records, customer communications, and submission packages, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance with Siemens standards.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of sales processes, commercial terms, and bid management.
- Exhibit excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience (minimum 10+ years) in Service Business mandatory. Digital Service Sales experience, Energy Service Sales experience, Technical Bid Management, or Pre-Sales Engineering – preferably within the Building Technologies are plus.
- Strong understanding of estimation, commercial terms, and proposal development processes.
- Experience working across functional teams (Sales, Technical, Commercial, Operations) in a collaborative and matrixed environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Organizationally strong with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- High sense of ownership and accountability, with a strong commitment to quality and deadlines.

What are my responsibilities?
