Typical responsibilities
- Produce, review, and take accountability for the accuracy of detailed calculations, electrical engineering datasheets, drawings and other deliverables to define the electrical engineering requirements of our projects
- Such electrical deliverables including but not limited to the design basis, load schedules, sizing calculations (equipment, cable, UPS, battery), experience with completing power system studies (short circuit, load flow, transient, motor starting and harmonic studies), relay settings, power adequacy, lighting/earthing/lightning protection deliverables, block & single line diagrams, electrical layouts (equipment, cable, tray, duct and trench), equipment specifications & datasheets, wiring & termination diagrams, preparation and development of enquiry packages including Specifications, Datasheets, Request for Quotation and Technical Bid Evaluation.
- Reviewing, checking and approving of these electrical deliverables to ensure accuracy and alignment with the scope of work prior to issue
- Supervise less experienced electrical engineers and, where required, be line manager for electrical engineers within Qatar office.
- Support recruitment, training and development of electrical personnel
- Follow company standards and procedures to schedule and budget as advised by the Engineering Manager
- Serves as the Lead Engineer and/or discipline technical authority when required on medium to large complexity projects
- When assigned as the lead, manages the electrical scope of work within the agreed budget and timeframe, ensuring that key milestones are met for the overall project delivery
- Ensure the delivery of challenging project and client targets using sound technical knowledge and decision-making skills
- Proactively engages and interfaces with other disciplines / third parties to ensure delivery of work scope to meet project and client expectations
- Completes technical reviews and audits within the electrical discipline for projects of varying complexity
- Acts as Wood's technical representative for the electrical discipline, liaising and closely coordinating with clients and third parties
- Reviews and approves material take off for the electrical discipline
- Completion of site surveys and data gathering for brownfield scope of work
- Remain up to date with the latest technical developments in your fields of expertise
- As a technical specialist demonstrates, provides and develops appropriate technical solutions for specific project issues
- Take a proactive approach to personal & professional development
- Ensure Wood and Client Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures are followed and that a high standard of safety is achieved in all associated work
- Demonstrate appreciation of commercial and technical risks, managing these appropriately within own work and highlighting any significant issues to the Engineering Manager

Principal Accountabilities
- Perform advanced horizontal wells PTA interpretation such as deconvolution, multi-layer reservoirs and double porosity systems, using noisy and incomplete buildup and falloff data sets.
- Construct/update dynamic black oil and compositional reservoir models for field development planning.
- Perform the annual reserves review and generate long term production/injection forecasts for business planning and drilling/workover schedule.
- Contribute and integrate reservoir engineering inputs into the short term (drill/replacement well projects, workover projects and drilling/workover operations), medium term (reservoir voidage management) and long term (field development and asset value optimization) activities.
- Identify target reservoir(s) layers and determine well-reservoir contacts for new/replacement vertical/deviated/horizontal drilling projects into multi-layered heterogeneous reservoirs to optimize field development.
- Contribute to the well proposals/prognosis. Develop and prepare post-drill reservoir engineering reports including integration of interpreted reservoir engineering data with Geological & Petrophysical evaluations.
- Participate in preparing detailed integrated development plans for undeveloped hydrocarbon resources.
- Contribute to the reservoir engineering domain, to the fields' annual reviews.
- Recommend the acquisition of reservoir engineering data and maintain reservoir engineering databases including real time data links.
- Monitor work compliance by contractors for reservoir engineering data acquisition.
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching and development of Qatari staff.
Experience
Context / Special Features / Challenges
- Minimum of 20 years work experience in reservoir engineering activities.
- Advanced knowledge of horizontal wells PTA interpretation such as deconvolution, multi-layer reservoirs and double porosity/permeability systems.
- Strong competency in constructing numerical reservoir simulation models (black-oil and compositional), model initialization, history matching, running sensitivities and predictions.
- Strong competency in transient well test design and interpretation, material balance modelling and performance prediction.
- Must have experience in mature carbonate fields.
- Strong competency in PVT, SCAL data analysis.
- Must be familiar with reserves evaluation, classification and booking (SPE PRMS or SEC standards).
- Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, less experienced staff, field staff and management.
- Must have strong teamwork skills. Experience working in a multicultural and integrated environment is a plus. Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Advanced Degree in Engineering (preferably Petroleum Engineering) or Applied Sciences
- Experience working on mature oil/gas fields.
- Desirable to have experience in reservoir fluid sampling, fluid property modelling, routine, and special core analysis.
- Desirable to have knowledge of uncertainty analysis and risk assessment / management.

The projects team focusing on delivering across FEED, Pre-FEED, Brownfield, Greenfield scopes of work. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of project work in accordance with the project execution plan, including Wood and/or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control within the man-hour, cost and the project schedule targets.
This is a long-term assignment based in Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Principal Piping Engineer will be responsible for:
- Design and development, piping material specifications, preparation or checking of Equipment layout drawings, preparation or checking of design calculations and specifications, preparation or checking of piping General Arrangement Drawings / piping Isometrics
- Evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques and procedures
- Prepare and check plot plan and Equipment Layout Drawings
- Provide technical support to field personnel as required and answering engineering queries
- Prepare technical bid clarification and technical bid evaluation for valves, supports and Special Piping items
- Carry out site survey and report preparation
- Review of piping design documents and provide report to the Leads
- Assist Piping Lead engineer
- Perform stress analysis and prepare stress analysis reports will be an added trait
- Under general supervision, performs all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter
- devises new approaches to problems encountered
- Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
- Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.

Experience:
- BSc., University in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas related piping mechanical Design and Engineering
- Performs as a professional mechanical engineer for projects and plant modifications from Front End
- Technical support for operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment
- Testing, installation, commissioning and start up of mechanical equipment
- Design, selection and specification of mechanical equipment
- Minimum 5 years experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas Project Delivery as a Umbrella Contract senior mechanical engineer function in a multidiscipline Workforce
- Experience in the Middle East, knowledge of GTL and LNG are an advantage, as is front-end and commissioning experience and execution.

This role is contributing to Process Automation Business Area based in Doha Qatar.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Customer Support & Relationship Management: Handle technical requests, build strong relationships at all levels, and proactively support customers by anticipating their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with internal teams and Account Managers to deliver timely offers, identify growth opportunities, and coordinate resources to overcome obstacles.

Qualifications for the Role:

- Experience and Process Automation Industry Background: Over 8 years of experience in process automation or the Oil & Gas industry for process automation, including 5+ years either in Technical Account Management or Technical Lead or Engineering/Service Lead roles in Process Automation business is a Must-Have. (Candidates who work currently in Sales Manager roles and have a previous experience as Technical Lead or Engineering/Service Lead roles in process automation can be considered).
- Technical Process Automation Expertise: Strong hands-on technical experience with DCS , Safety Systems (ESD/FGS), SCADA /RTU, PMS/ELICS is a Must-Have along with ABB or other OEM systems; deep knowledge of ABB solutions including Legacy Systems (Infi90, Freelance), ICSS (AC800M/AC800MHI), and Instrumentation.
- Skills & Communication: Proficient in industrial communication protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC, Profibus, Profinet, FF), with the ability to understand customer needs and propose timely solutions; fluent in English with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
