Job Description

• As an AC Technician, you are responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing temperature and air quality control systems. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Repairing, maintaining, and providing technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems in the hotel, such as freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units, and chillers.
• Performing preventive maintenance on all air-conditioning and refrigeration systems within the hotel.
• Monitoring the performance of refrigeration systems and their components.
• Verifying the door closing systems on walk-in coolers and freezers, including door gaskets and latches.
• Checking and maintaining defrosting systems and the automation of ice makers.
• Responding to maintenance requests from all departments.
• Ensuring routine cleaning of fan coil units and air-handling unit filters.
• Checking the performance of air-conditioning and chilled water systems.
• Collaborating with engineering colleagues to troubleshoot failures of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and to set up functions.
• Strictly controlling the venting of CFCs into the atmosphere.
• Overhauling air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Checking all refrigeration and oil levels and managing major repairs.
• Cooperating with and informing the Engineering Storekeeper about parts procurement.

Qualifications

• To perform and carry out the hotel preventive maintenance plan for all HVAC equipment and including cleaning and lubricating all HVAC equipment.
