**Purpose of the Position**
- To offer support to the learning, and co-curricular needs of individual students through the school’s policy and core values.
**Main Tasks and Responsibilities**
In addition to the general duties of a teacher at Richmond International School, the post holder is expected to:
- Teach an allocation of lessons as required
- Plan, develop, and deliver lessons plans aligned with the school’s curriculum
- Manage the academic and administrative activities of classes taught.
- Meeting requirements for the student assessment
- Record evaluate and report on student development
- Provide timely feedback to parents on student's progress.
- Enhance the quality of teaching and learning in the Department and wider School through sharing resources and good practice, lesson observation, collaborative teaching, mentoring and active participation in continuing professional development
- Actively safeguard and promote the welfare of children
- Support the School’s aims and objectives for teaching and learning
- Adhere to and promote all School policies and procedures
**Person Specification**
**Knowledge and Experience - Essential**
- A bachelor’s degree in education or a first degree in Arabic.
- Native Arabic speaker
- Involvement in extra-curricular activities (professional, amateur or voluntary)
- Proficiency in English Language
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Proficiency with MS Team / Zoom
- Proficiency with Google Classroom
- Minimum 3 years' teaching experience.
**Knowledge and Experience - Desirable**
- Awareness of Safeguarding requirements and good practice.
- High level of IT literacy including use of online learning platforms.

The school reserves the right to vary or amend the duties and responsibilities of the post holder at any time according to the needs of the school’s business.
In exceptional circumstances, the post holder will be required to undertake other duties and responsibilities of a similar post in order to support workload peaks, skill shortages, to ensure priorities are met. This will be sensitive to available resources and individual skills and will be generally in the same area.

Job Description
The role will involve engaging in regular feedback meetings with Senior Instructors, in support of continuous improvement of the instructor’s class and the department as a whole. Taking ownership of their class and leading by example, the instructor must demonstrate professionalism and flexibility. The instructor must also demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and continuous improvement initiatives within the QTI.
Key aspects of the English Instructor role are:
Effective delivery of the curriculum in accordance with relevant policies and procedures within the QTI.
Ensuring military students make good progress as measured against the CEFR.
Support the development of the department and instructors by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Support a culture of reflection and improvement, and show a passion for teaching with a can-do, solution-focused attitude.
Work collaboratively with all English instructors, and instructors of other subjects, to provide students with the best chance of success in the Foundation programme.
Regularly report student progress, attendance and behaviour to Foundation management.
Engage with the QTI’s performance management policy effectively to ensure objectives are met.
Core Activity
Operate within all mandated SHE guidelines.
Undertake all core job duties.
Plan and teach effectively.
Maintain optimal operational performance in all areas of job duties.
Record, share and analyse all necessary data within required timeframes.

Requirements
