Job BriefThe incumbent will be responsible to promote products and services to customers, discover and pursue new sales prospects, negotiate contracts, and maintain customer satisfaction with the aim of maximizing profits.
ACCOUNTABILITIES- Adhere to all Zahrawi Policies & Procedures as applicable.
Market Knowledge:
- Conducting market research to identify new potential customers.
- Analyzing market trends to identify new products in the market and understanding their advantages and disadvantages.
- Planning and assisting with new product releases and events.
- Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
Business Development:
- Establishing contact with new customers to inform them of our products, understanding their needs and how we can help them.
- Providing potential customers with support, information, and guidance by performing product demonstrations and gathering their feedback.
- Following up with the new customers after the demo session to negotiate contracts and packages.
- Ensuring all details of the contract are compliant with our rules & regulations.
Marketing:
- Coordinating with the Marketing Department for any new materials that need to be developed.
- Maintaining relationships with existing customers by providing them with support, information, and guidance.
- Recommending new products to existing customers as per their needs and providing them with support, information, and guidance to ensure a great relationship with them.
- Providing existing customers with support, information, and guidance by performing product demonstrations and gathering their feedback.
- Assisting customers in answering all product-related questions in a professional and timely manner.
- Recommending new service improvements to further build on the relationship.
- Advising helpful new product recommendations and suggestions to customers to increase revenue.
- Negotiating contracts and packages with existing customers.
- Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing Zahrawi standards.
- Contributing to the team effort by achieving the annual target set by the management and assisting the team when needed.
Data Track:
- Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and maintaining accurate records of all products sold.
Orders:
- Placing orders to the concerned purchase coordinator.
- Following up with the Procurement & Logistics team regarding sending products and ensuring timely delivery.
Invoicing:
- Coordinating with the Finance Department to ensure proper invoicing of the products and following up with them regarding collection/payment.
Delivery:
- Coordinate with the warehouse for timely deliveries.
Application:
- Troubleshooting of the instruments.
- Introduction and demo of new products to end users.
- Technical data – matching and filling the project specification sheets and requirements.
- Preparing and suggesting the consumables lists by studying the needs of each customer to promote reagents and consumables sales.
- Attending customer calls regarding supply and informing the sales team.
- Coordinating conferences and materials.
- Conducting workshops and providing application training.
- Completing the validation process of every product in MBU.
Support:
- Support the Sales Team in handling projects in terms of specifications and technical comparison discussions with end users.
- Coordinate with service engineers for installations, PMs, and rectifications.
- Coordinate with the sales team to gather insights on competition and provide scientific arguments.
- Assist sales teams during technical discussions.
- Prepare training certificates for customer training attendees.
Service Team Coordination:
- Coordinate with service engineers for installations, PMs, and rectifications and plan trainings accordingly.
Communication with Principal Companies:
- Communicate with principals on technical information.
- Communicate with principals on any customer queries that cannot be resolved internally.
- Keep updated with the latest training schedules and training materials.
- Attend all relevant webinars conducted by the principals.
- Transfer new technical information received from the principal company internally to all concerned persons.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Medical Lab/Biotechnology or related science.
- Experience: 2+ years experience in NGS and Bioinformatics.
- Job Specific Skills: Strong hands-on experience with NGS workflows, including library preparation, sequencing, data analysis, and interpretation.
- Able to perform sequencing runs across a variety of applications e.g., whole genome sequencing, RNA-Seq, exome sequencing, etc.
- Experience working with NGS platforms (Illumina, PacBio, Oxford Nanopore, 10X genomics, etc.)
- Additional details: Candidates are preferred to be based in Qatar and willing to move on a company visa.

Position Function
The Crickard laboratory is hiring a full-time postdoc as part of a project funded by the American Cancer Society. The project aims to investigate the etiology of Cancer development, focusing on how deregulation of DNA motor proteins contributes to this process. Significant experience in protein purification and biochemistry is necessary for this position. As part of the study, the candidate will receive training in single-molecule imaging. The applicant will also be expected to interact with graduate students in the laboratory and participate in collaborations with other groups, either at Cornell or elsewhere. Cornell boasts a high density of investigators working on DNA recombination, replication, and repair. This group of laboratories makes the Molecular Biology and Genetics department at Cornell an ideal place for postdoctoral training in the subject area. Long-term, the applicant will be expected to develop a project that can be used to establish their own research group. Salaries are set at NIH rates.
Anticipated Division of Time
- 65% of the employee’s time will be spent doing bench laboratory experiments.
- 15% of the employee's time will be spent analyzing and preparing data for presentation
- 10% of the employee’s time will involve the mentoring of undergraduate or graduate students
- 10% of the employee’s time will involve professional development

Position Function The Crickard laboratory is hiring a full-time postdoc as part of a project funded by the American Cancer Society. The project aims to investigate the etiology of Cancer development, focusing on how deregulation of DNA motor proteins contributes to this process. Significant experience in protein purification and biochemistry is necessary for this position. As part of the study, the candidate will receive training in single-molecule imaging. The applicant will also be expected to interact with graduate students in the laboratory and participate in collaborations with other groups, either at Cornell or elsewhere. Cornell boasts a high density of investigators working on DNA recombination, replication, and repair. This group of laboratories makes the Molecular Biology and Genetics department at Cornell an ideal place for postdoctoral training in the subject area. Long-term, the applicant will be expected to develop a project that can be used to establish their own research group. Salaries are set at NIH rates.
Anticipated Division of Time 65% of the employee’s time will be spent doing bench laboratory experiments. 15% of the employee's time will be spent analyzing and preparing data for presentation 10% of the employee’s time will involve the mentoring of undergraduate or graduate students 10% of the employee’s time will involve professional development Requirements A PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or Cell biology. A requirement for the position is evidence of peer-reviewed publications in a related field, and general enthusiasm for science. Skills necessary for this position include Protein purification, assay development, and maintenance of cell culture. Experience with protein expression and purification from insect or human cells is a plus. Supervision Exercised The job will require weekly meetings with the PI and regular presentations a lab meetings. No supervision required.
