What You Will Do- Oversee staff training and development for menu changes.
- Communicate clearly and often with kitchen staff, fellow members of the Chef team and colleagues throughout the Food and Beverage division.
- Develop and foster strong relationships with the kitchen team.
- Develop menus that highlight fresh, local products, and oversee their recipe design and output.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Birch Street including costing, recipe input, ordering and purchasing processes.
- Assist in the payroll process for the Kitchen team.
- Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions and inventory control.
- Ensure sanitation standards as set forth by Four Seasons, local, state, and federal regulations are in compliance, as well as the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Maintain control systems to assure quality and portion consistency; monitor food shipments to meet purchasing specifications and foster an awareness of the importance of food preparation and quality.
- Coordinate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met; attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination between departments.
- Communicate effectively with team members at various levels within the organization in verbal and written form.
- Mentor and develop skills within the team to enable growth within their role and within the company.
- Coach and mentor other leaders within the department.
- Maintain a consistent approach to accountability to ensure the delivery of excellent product.
- Lead recruitment, selection, training and coaching of team members.
- Demonstrate a passion for innovation and the ability to adapt to changing environments and demands.
- Adhere to Four Seasons Hotel’s standards as well as policies and procedures.
- Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with all co-workers.
- Preferably has luxury hotel and culinary background.
- 4-6 years of experience in related field.
- Excellent command in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
- Directs, coaches, supports, supervises, and evaluates (with the Sous Chef) all direct reports.
- Must have excellent food knowledge and a full understanding of culinary terms.
