**The opportunity**

EY’s Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) practice provides risk management support to banks, insurers, and asset managers. **To qualify for the role, you must have**
- Excellent academic background, including a Bachelor and a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Risk Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Engineering, Operational Research, or other related field. Ph.D. and professional qualifications (e.g., PRM, CFA etc.) will be considered an asset
- Skills in quantitative methods of finance, econometrics and/or statistics.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact with teams at all hierarchical levels and work under tight deadlines

- Risk quantification methods for market risk (e.g., Value-at-Risk, Expected Shortfall) credit risk (e.g., PD, LGD and EAD)
- Financial analysis, key performance indicators, and financial accounting.
- Regulatory requirements in the banking industry
- Quantitative & other programming, (e.g., R, Python, SAS, SPSS, SQL) and valuation platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Fin CAD or Super Derivatives)

    • Influencing and gaining buy-in from key stakeholders, either in a customer-facing or internal role; prior experience in a pre-sales role is ideal

    The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location.     KPMG's Advisory practice is one of the largest Advisory businesses worldwide and the major growth area for our organization. Our services are focused on the Finance Function, and we work with clients in identifying and tackling their challenges in Growth, Governance and Performance. Our Advisory teams support businesses as they restructure and expand, whether organically or by acquisition. We help them to become more efficient and provide support as they adapt to the challenges posed by a rapidly changing business environment

    Primary Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities

    • Support in executing risk consulting engagements, ensuring exceptional client service and value delivery.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures.
    • Contribute to the assessment and analysis of risks, as well as the identification of risk mitigation strategies for clients across various industries.
    • Develop risk appetites, conducted enterprise risk assessments and developed risk reporting dashboards.
    • Work on other services such as governance, internal control, internal audit and compliance.

    Qualification And Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or relevant post-graduate qualifications are a plus.
    • Professional certification such as CRM, FRM, CPA, CFA, CIA, or relevant industry certifications preferred. ISO 31000 is a plus.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management consulting, preferably within a Big 4 or similar professional services firm.
    • Worked on large risk management projects, preferably in the GCC.
    • Worked on risk management projects across several industries.
    • Worked on other consulting projects such as policies and procedures, internal control, governance and compliance.
