Summary
Northwestern University Libraries seeks a Data Management Librarian to provide support, instruction, and assistance with research data management for faculty, students, and staff of the Northwestern community.   • Integrate good practices from library sciences (including library analytics, digital collections) and related fields to help guide the standardization of datasets, models and documentation.
  • Provide guidance and instruction on choosing and using appropriate data management tools and platforms and data management policies and initiatives as they pertain to the Northwestern research community.
  • Work as part of a collaborative effort across departments to design, update, and implement data management services. Clearly communicate project status and updates to the project team as appropriate.
  • Act as the primary contact for subject specialists within the Libraries and research community on questions of data management; contribute to data repository development and related work in the Research Services workgroup; and work collaboratively with service units in the libraries, other University units, and schools.
  • Identify and develop relationships with the Northwestern research community and peers at other institutions to facilitate collaborations, understand new research trends, and improve existing support. Education/Qualifications Required:

The role involves maintaining the HMC Clinical Cancer Registry with precise data to assist in cancer services at HMC. The CTR examines medical and pathology records to determine patient eligibility for the registry, abstracts medical records by translating medical terminology into standardized codes recording diagnosis and treatment information, and protects patient information. Education/Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare related field plus Cancer / Tumor Registry Course OR Bachelor’s Degree plus Internationally certified Cancer / Tumor Registry Course. Experience Post-Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years experience in healthcare related field, with 3 years in Healthcare Data Management for Bachelor’s Degree holders. OR minimum 9 years’ experience in Healthcare Data Management for a Bachelor’s Degree. Job Responsibilities/Duties:

Identify, compile, update, and maintain patient data from various sources. Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a business environment with specific exposure to Business Processes and Data Analysis relating to Project Management required, preferably within the oil and gas industry.   • Experience in Data Visualization, dashboard and Reporting using Data Visualization Tools such as (Power PI, Tableau, SAS, Python, etc) with experience using web services and cloud tools
  • Knowledge of Master data object definitions and models would be an advantage
  • Knowledge in Business Process Analysis, Modelling, Optimizing and Workflow automation
  • Experience in business process analysis, modelling, notation, process improvement methodologies, optimization strategies and statistical process control
  • Experience in documentation and diagramming approaches used to describe typical business components including entity relationship diagrams, process diagrams, and workflow diagrams
  • Good exposure to Project Management principles and practices
  • Thorough understanding of Business Process management and ability to plan/conduct study and document the results
  • Expert proficiency in using MS Office suite applications, MS SharePoint and Power BI
