CH2M HILL Document Control Specialist - Doha, Qatar
Job Purpose:
Program Description: Qatar will be hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup™ Football and become the first Middle East nation in history to stage this event. The associated construction programme will be part of a major country regeneration programme including the development of required infrastructure and non competitive venues. CH2M Hill is the programme management contractor (PMC) responsible for the management of competition precincts, training venues, associated common domain precincts, Operations, Post Games Works and the coordination of the regeneration programme integration works, acting on behalf of the client Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee.
Responsibilities- Manage electronic document management system as well as hard copy records in accordance with the company’s EDMS system.
- Ensure all documentation is controlled in accordance with the company’s procedures for document control.
- Process, control and administer incoming and outgoing documents (correspondences, submittals, transmittals, specifications, drawings, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree or HND equivalent required.
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in construction and engineering industry; 5 of those years in managing documents in large projects.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience of the construction project document control methodologies, process, procedures and systems.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience with MS Office applications.
- Knowledge in Information Management Systems.
- Working in a programme management office.
- Experience in working within the Middle East.
- Must be physically fit and able to work in extreme climate.

Job Description
The Document Control Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Document Control Management System and overseeing that all updates to program documents (i.e. design criteria, design reports, drawings, approved changes, etc.) are being captured, collected, stored and disseminated through the proper channels to all concerned parties and ensuring that teams working on the program are using the latest version of the documents. This position also ensures that the procedures with respect to document retention, archiving, and destruction and disposal of void documents are followed. The position is supported by a team of Document Controllers.
Minimum Qualifications:- 4-year university degree in engineering or equivalent technical degree
- 12-15 years of related work experience preferably in large-scale development projects and including 3 - 5 years of prior document control experience in a lead capacity.

ResponsibilitiesProvide SharePoint operation and other web technology support. The contractor shall:

- Ensure information is cleared by the local Public Affairs office prior to publishing;

- Augment the Base Record Manager, Base Publication Manager, and the Base Privacy Manager;
