We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a Sr. ELV Engineer . This position is responsible for provision of the required quality technical services. Carry-out Concept definition and engineering studies, design, scopes and preparation of engineering documents as per approved standards / procedures.

This is a long-term contract role working on a residential basis on 5-days per week / 8 hours per day. Please see details below:

Title: Sr. ELV Engineer

Working Schedule: 5-days per week / 8 hours per day

Qualification:

B.Sc. in IT/Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent qualification from an internationally recognized University with extensive design and construction experience of ELV Works related to the Building Services Industry. Membership in a relevant recognized professional organization.

1. As discipline engineer responsible for provision of the required quality technical services.
2. Carry-out Concept definition and engineering studies, design, scopes and preparation of engineering documents as per approved standards / procedures.
3. Verify and sign-off technical designs and bids in accordance with approved standards.
4. Deliver timely service to meet the project requirements.
5. Advice and support in the discipline engineering matters in the area of expertise through all stages of projects.
6. Plan and co-ordinate activities of a team of engineers for providing technical services to project executing departments, including review of execution strategies.
7. Support discipline head/lead to manage QP discipline standards. Participate in technical assurance and standardization activities to ensure compliance to approved discipline standards.
8. Approve / endorse technical deviations / waivers/ variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards and practices.
9. Support to ensure that all applicable environmental and process and other safety technical policies are fully implemented.
10. Support development of competencies and skills in his area including structured training for Qatari Engineers under development.

Senior ELV Engineer Doha, Qatar

Description

Overview:

We are looking to hire a Senior ELV Engineer for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar.

Candidates must have a minimum of 12 years’ experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of ELV works related to large-sized high-rise buildings.

Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide quality technical services as a discipline engineer.
• Carry out concept definition, engineering studies, design, scope, and prepare engineering documents according to standards and procedures.
• Verify and sign off technical designs and bids in accordance with approved standards.
• Deliver timely services to meet project requirements.
• Advise and support in discipline engineering matters throughout all project stages.
• Plan and coordinate activities of engineering teams, review execution strategies.
• Support the discipline head/lead in managing client standards.
• Participate in technical assurance and standardization activities to ensure compliance.
• Approve deviations, waivers, and variations to standards and practices.
• Ensure implementation of environmental, safety, and other technical policies.

Requirements:

• BSc in IT/Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university, with extensive experience in ELV works for large high-rise buildings.
• Membership in a relevant professional organization.
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in design, construction, and commissioning of ELV works in high-rise buildings.
• Knowledge of international standards, specifications, testing, and commissioning of ELV systems, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Experience reviewing and approving contractor submittals, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Effective communication, presentation, report writing, and meeting management skills.
