Caravane Erath is in search of a magnetic Head of Events with remarkable tenacity, a sharp leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, who’s good-natured, a natural at relationship building, and puts their client’s needs at the top of their priority list, while meeting (or surpassing) all revenue goals for the department.
They will also coordinate all details of confirmed groups & events with respective operations teams You're a natural at what you do - and you love it.
About you.
- Passionate about hospitality sales and a minimum of 5 years of similar work experience.
- An expert in Groups & Events Sales, a strong leader, natural salesperson and a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance.
- For events held externally, working with external venues to ensure all kind of set-up, AV, catering, and any other factors are agreed and met, establish good communication to ensure the specifics of hosting are confirmed in writing and that events work well for attendees and hosts/sponsors
- Excels at communication, both verbal and written.
- Flexible and willing to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekdays, weekends and holidays
- Careful and considered research to avoid clashes with other events or factors which would affect attendance, and identification of any other factors affecting the commercial feasibility of events
- Work with sponsors to ensure all commitments and obligations are met, whilst maintaining editorial control of all aspects of the events, and the nature of the sponsors' participation
- Work with the department head and the digital team to ensure events receive appropriate profile and levels of marketing (in consideration of entire portfolio).
- For events held at their offices, booking the conference rooms, and working with the reception team to ensure appropriate room set-up, AV, and catering
- Drafting compelling benefit-driven marketing copy of appropriate tone
- Any other task assigned by Management
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

- Coordinate and manage all aspects of event planning and execution
- Report directly to the Sales and Events Manager
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and requirements
- Develop event timelines and ensure all deadlines are met
- Source, negotiate, and manage vendors and suppliers
- Conduct site visits and supervise event setup and breakdown
- Manage event budgets to ensure cost-effective execution
- Prepare post-event reports and gather client feedback
- Stay updated with industry trends and innovative event concepts
Ideal Profile
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or related field
- Proven experience as an Events Coordinator or similar role (minimum 2 years)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of project management tools is a plus
- Creative mindset with keen attention to detail
- Female Arabic speaker preferred
- Must reside in Doha, Qatar, and be able to join immediately with available NOC and valid QID
