Ensures team member adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Assists the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates. Assists Lead Engineer in monitoring quality activities, drives and participates in squad checking, recommends improvements, and takes action where required. Assist Project Team in project documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules. Manage Electrical design and any design changes within budget and schedule. Prepare and participate in weekly Electrical meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures. Review and approve all related technical documents and coordinate with the Lead Engineer. Review and advice on layouts, site preparation, etc., during technical evaluation stage of bidder’s proposals to assess technical capability and ensure compliance with project specifications. Power System Analysis in ETAP for load flow, short circuit, motor starting, harmonics and Power factor correction. Preparation of Load List, Electrical system single line diagram, PMS architecture. Electrical equipment layout and cable way planning (ductbanks, trays in cable cellar/trenches) in substations and electrical rooms in other buildings. Performing / checking equipment sizing calculations (transformers, DG, UPS-Battery), lighting calculations (DIALux), Earthing calculations (ETAP), Lightning Protection calculations (IEC 62305). Checking of lighting and small power layouts, earthing layouts, lightning protection layouts, DB schedule. Effectively plan, help a team of designers in getting various drawings and schedules prepared, checked. MV cable sizing based on IEC60287 using CYMECAP will be an added advantage. A thorough knowledge of the regulations, codes and standards and a good knowledge of onshore & offshore engineering practices applicable to electrical design for oil and gas facilities. Quality Assurance. Accountable for working within the provisions and guidelines of Quality Assurance systems. Safety. Accountable for personal safety, safe working practices. Working knowledge and follow OH&S procedures promoting health, safety and environmental awareness. HSE Capability: Maintain HSE focus with the team to ensure OHSE requirements. Industry Specific Experience : Must have vast experience in Electrical design and engineering of oil & gas / large industrial projects in Onshore projects. Experience in brown fields & asset services type project / contracts. Experience in MV cable sizing based on IEC60287 using CYMECAP will be an added advantage. Qatar project experience with knowledge of Kahramaa standards is preferred. Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training : Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage. Technical Maintenance Activities
