Managerial Responsibilities:

- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and accruals, to meet reporting deadlines. Audit lead.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as treasury, tax and financial planning and analysis, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of financial operations with broader finance functions.

- Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization and oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors ensuring all audit issues are resolved, and all compliance issues are met, and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with the regulatory body.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, notably IFRS 9, 15 and 16.
- Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a high level of accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

- Listed company experience.
- Strong people management skills, with a focus on collaborating with and developing others.

- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and accruals, to meet reporting deadlines. Audit lead.

- Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization and oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors ensuring all audit issues are resolved, and all compliance issues are met, and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with the regulatory body.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, notably IFRS 9, 15 and 16.
- Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a high level of accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Academic & Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent.
- Accounting certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA, etc.).
Experience:
- 12-16 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar field.
- Listed company experience
- 7+ years in a managerial role
Skills and Requirements:
- Strong people management skills, with a focus on collaborating with and developing others.
- Expert knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including experience with general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Financial Controller to manage the controlling functions for this major joint venture (annual turnover of approx. 400 MQAR). The controller will play a critical role in the start-up phase of the project and throughout its operational lifecycle, helping the CFO to structure the joint venture's financial governance, establishing financial robust processes, managing the financial supplier, information system, and supporting strategic and operation decision making. The position requires hands-on approach and good coordination with the UJV financial partners
Key Responsibilities:
Start-up Phase
Assist the CFO in
- Defining and implementing financial and administrative procedures tailored to the project's needs, in coordination with the JV partners (2) and financial supplier.
- Defining analytics and implementing ERP .
- Set-up consolidated reporting frameworks that meet both operational needs and JV members requirement
- Set up internal control processes, risk management frameworks, and governance tools.
- Support the onboarding of finance supplier.
- Coordinate with legal, tax, and audit advisors during the structuring and launch phase.
- Ensure proper contractual compliance and risk mitigation from a finance and tax perspective
Financial Management
- Manage budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting and assist the CFO in cash management.
- Monitor project performance KPIs and provide decision-making support to project leadership.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in coordination with UJV Members and external auditors.
- Prepare financial reporting and presentations for the JV Board
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in controlling, ideally in Egis Group
- Past experience of JV controlling issues and project start-ups or greenfield environments.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems implementation (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Good communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Resilience in fast-paced environments.
