About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Design QA Specialist to join our Enterprise UX team within IT, ensuring that digital products meet the highest standards of usability, accessibility, and visual consistency. This role plays a critical part in maintaining design excellence by conducting UI/UX reviews, usability testing, and design quality assessments before digital experiences go live. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that all enterprise applications, customer-facing platforms, and internal digital tools align with Qatar Airways' UX best practices and brand identity.

As a guardian of design quality, you will bridge the gap between design and development, ensuring that visual designs are accurately translated into the final product and that no usability gaps impact the user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end UI/UX audits, ensuring adherence to the design system, accessibility (WCAG), and usability best practices.
  • Validate visual consistency, typography, color usage, interaction behaviors, and responsiveness across different screen sizes, platforms, and devices.
  • Perform pre-launch UI checklist reviews to identify design inconsistencies, usability issues, and accessibility gaps.
  • Ensure that all UI components, interactive elements, and animations behave as intended.
  • Work closely with UX designers, UI specialists, front-end developers, and product managers to ensure that designs are properly implemented.
  • Collaborate with the Head of UX CoE to standardize and enforce design QA processes across all enterprise applications.
  • Serve as a design gatekeeper for UI deliverables before they reach production.
  • Validate WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, ensuring that digital experiences are accessible for all users, including those with disabilities.
  • Conduct heuristic evaluations and usability audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain UX QA documentation, checklists, and design review reports to track issues and improvements.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve design review efficiency.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree of Computer Science, IT, Design, or similar, and a minimum of 2 years experience is required.
  • Expertise in UX/UI design principles, usability heuristics, and quality assurance processes.
  • Good understanding of enterprise UX, design systems, and brand guidelines.
  • Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and front-end development workflows.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and usability testing methodologies.
  • Ability to identify visual inconsistencies, interaction issues, and technical gaps in designs.
  • Strong attention to detail, precision, and structured documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate design feedback effectively.
