**Job Description:**

One of our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Instrumentation Engineer to join their team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in instrumentation engineering, with significant site exposure in a leading company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Design and Development:**

• Develop and review instrumentation design specifications, including control systems, measurement devices, and safety systems.
• Prepare and review instrumentation and control system documentation, including P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring diagrams.

2. **Installation and Commissioning:**

• Oversee the installation and commissioning of instrumentation systems on-site, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.

3. **Maintenance and Troubleshooting:**

• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving instrumentation issues during operation.

Overview

Responsible and accountable for reviewing the instrument engineering deliverables for Idd El Shargi Asset Organization (IS) green and brown field projects prepared by engineering consultant and preparing engineering deliverables for in-house projects. Key accountable to ensure that efficient project implementation, proactive facility improvement and Technical Integrity in conjunction with QP Standards and Shell DEP for the Idd El Shargi's surface facilities specific to instrumentation discipline.

Experience

• 7 years instrument technical professional experience in upstream oil and gas industry that include a minimum of 7 years in facilities design (front-end, conceptual and detailed design) and minimum of 2 years in project execution (including construction and commissioning).
• Operation and maintenance experience including field troubleshooting.
• Skill in field instrumentation design engineering and construction/execution (including construction and commissioning).
• Knowledge in operations and maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of relevant oil & gas HSE regulations including procedures and instructions. Full understanding of HSSE & SP management principles and its application.
• Familiar with international standards API, ISA, IEC, etc. as well as Shell DEP standards and procedures.
• Good communication skills and interpersonal ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams. Aptitudes for taking initiatives are preferred.

Qualifications

· Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for maintenance of plant auxiliary systems like CCTV, Fire alarming and suppression and plant intercom network.

· Instrumentation Engineer studies and reviews the design documents for any site/equipment design modification.

· Instrumentation Engineer co-ordinates with third party vendors/contractors/suppliers for jobs related to instrumentation.

· Instrumentation Engineer co-ordinate between section and other department of the company for the maintenance work.

· Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for preparing the maintenance documents like MOS, field Check list, Job plan, calibration plan, PM schedule.

· Able to read P&ID (Process & Instrument) diagram, wiring diagram, Loop drawings.

· Hand on experience on field measuring instruments like pressure Tx, Temperature Tx, Vibration Tx, Position Tx

· Hand on experience on process analyzers related to water treatment process.

· Knowledge on MOV, electric and pneumatic actuators.

· Capable of trouble shooting of hard wire related issues in MCC, PLC panel and field LV panels.

·Knowledge of CMMS/ MAXIMO

· Knowledge of QAQC & safety related documents required for field maintenance activities
