**1. Job Description**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To be responsible for maintaining and administering Core Infrastructure (server system).

- Periodically conduct backup restoration test to ensure that data backups are in good condition and available upon needed especially for disaster recovery.
- Configure backup policies, schedules, and retention as per the organization's requirements.
- Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard virtualized environments, operating systems, and containerized workloads.
- Conduct regular security patching and compliance checks to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage OpenShift container platform, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Maintains up-to-date inventory/records including the Licensing document details.
- Liaises and coordinates with the partner for any issues and/or required enhancement related to and/or server infrastructure.
- The system administrator must keep up to date with new technology and plan and implement system upgrades as needed.
- The system administrator must keep detailed documentation of the system configuration and procedures, including server diagrams, system configurations, and user manuals, among other things.

- Ensure availability of the systems by proactively monitoring the status for availability and performance using the available tools.
- Monitor automatic alert and incident logging in tool for availability & performance threshold breaches.

Summary

Perform standard system administration support and services which includes installation, configuration, operation, management, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, inspecting and maintaining server systems, including administration of all core and functional services/systems for all of the organization's networks.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Will need to support:
  • DHCP, Print Servers, GPOS, STIGs, and Permissions
  • SCCM and patch deployment
  • Systems Engineering
  • VMWare, vCenter, VDI, Horizon, etc. via troubleshooting and resolving VMWare environment issues, designing and implementing virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and template management, managing a VXRail environment, and deploying VMWare patches
  • Powershell and Power CLI
  • NetApp OCSM, Snapmirror, and NetApp best practices
  • CISCO UCS, service profiles, and firmware updates

QUALIFICATIONS Required Certifications

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 (Security+) or higher; and
  • Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA) or equivalent certification; and
  • VMware Certified Associate (VCA) or equivalent certification

Education, Background, and Years of Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field; or 5+ years of IT Domain Knowledge experience

  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to brief colleagues and leadership
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a high energy environment

WORKING CONDITIONS Environmental Conditions

  • Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

Strength Demands

  • Sedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Required Certification(s):
