Our transportation and logistics team in the Middle East is experiencing exciting growth, and we have a need for an experienced Street Lighting Engineer to support one of our major clients in Qatar. This specialized professional combines technical expertise in electrical engineering with urban planning principles to create well-lit, safe, and energy-efficient public spaces.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop strategies to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
• Prepare inspection plans and electrical examinations on lampposts according to road classifications.
• Prepare periodic maintenance programs for all components of lamps, including lamps, columns, cables, and Feeder Pillars.
• Coordinate with the Public Works Authority to install lampposts in dark areas and streets.
• Collaborate with urban planners, architects, electrical contractors, and municipal authorities to develop comprehensive lighting strategies for various urban spaces.
• Work within a team of specialists and consulting firms on management studies.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and discussions for the Ministry.
• Stay updated on emerging transportation technologies and assess their applications.

This role involves developing strong relationships with clients, government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders, facilitating effective coordination and knowledge sharing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. We value in-person interactions and support a hybrid working policy, with onsite attendance as required.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering or a related field from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience, with specialization in lighting design, electrical engineering, and street lighting projects.
• Deep understanding of electrical schematics, lighting plans, and knowledge of light sources (LED, HID, fluorescent).
• Bilingual skills for effective communication with diverse teams and clients.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
