Position: CNG Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Job Objective:

• Organize, analyse and supervise the maintenance activities of the CNG Mechanical assets by coordinating the efforts of maintenance crew to ensure that all maintenance activities and requirements are carried out promptly, safely and cost effectively as per approved programs, OEM recommendations, applicable standards and engineering best practice.
• Attend any breakdown on timely manner.

Primary tasks include : systems design, preparation of engineering documents, testing and commissioning of telecoms systems. Working in collaboration with the Project Management group to ensure the effective delivery of projects and services to SI customers and with the Sales Group to ensure the effective delivery of technical consultation and estimates for bids and proposals. The day-to-day

• Operate within a virtual project team, lead engineer for a system or systems, liaise with other engineers and technicians during the lifecycle of a project.
• The detailed design, production of project documents & drawings, configuration, pre-FAT testing, and conduction of client witnessed FATs as required (PAGA, CCTV, ACS, Radio, LAN, WAN, SCS, IDS, etc.)
• Liaise with suppliers & third parties and assist the Project Management group to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of each Project on time and budget, ensuring that all agreed customer requirements are met.
• To travel and attend client kick-off meetings, project review meetings, and vendor / supplier FATs , as required
• Travel for site installation supervision, site commissioning and witnessing SATs, both onshore and offshore, as required.
• Support the RigNet Quality program within SI operations to uphold the highest quality standards.
• Ensure compliance and maintainability of an ISO certification across the SI organization performing appropriate gate checks to audit / monitor adherence to this program.

• HND level (or equivalent) in a relevant technical subject or extensive relevant experience
• Experience of an Operational Engineering environment required in the Telecommunication Industry
• Professional Accreditation such as Chartered Engineer, MIET or working towards these.
• Significant experience of Projects work
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels and participate in teamworking
• Capable of working under pressure and the ability to multi-task effectively both independently and within a team

Manage reliability of Industrial Automation Control, Instrumentation, Industrial Communication, Fire Alarm System, Traffic Systems, RLC security systems, HVAC control systems, Chillers & Central Plant, and Utility Control Plants, Industrial Control Systems, Instruments, Redundancy PLC & SCADA Systems, DCS, BMS & DDC. Involved in Designing, Installation, Programming, Testing and Commissioning, Upgrading & Integration to satisfy customers and QatarEnergy users. • 10 years of total experience in relevant field with proven track records.
• Good working knowledge of Passive Infrastructure allocation and management and GIS software packages.
• Sound Leadership, Negotiation, Report writing, Analytical and Problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) Standards, rules & regulations in respect of. Communications passive infrastructure.
• Awareness of HSE safety procedures & standards for Oil/Gas/Marine environments.
• Familiarity of working in a SAP- ERP environment is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Equivalent.
• Minimum 5-7 years of total experience in design, installation, and maintenance of Communication Infrastructure and network elements. Must be well versed maintenance activities and manpower management. Previous experience in Oil & Gas field communication systems preferred. OR
• Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

• Service, maintain, and repair motors, pumps, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical components on cranes from brands such as Tadano, Liebherr, Hitachi, Demag, and Grove.
• Work closely with the workshop manager, provide clear updates, and ensure accurate reporting of all activities.
• Diagnose Electrical issues and perform repairs on-site to minimize downtime.
• Provide technical support, and guidance to operators on crane usage and maintenance.
• Support the development and optimization of the preventive maintenance program by identifying critical components to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Follow company and industry safety procedures and regulations
• Work closely with mechanical team, including technical support, engineering, improve service quality and resolve complex issues.
• Document all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Update the troubleshoot logbook.
• Assist with new equipment installation and qualification.
• Work all shifts flexibly when job demands.

• A higher education degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in an Electrical, Mechanical engineering role
• Excellent English skills. Additional languages are a plus.
• Strong technical knowledge of equipment and machinery, with a preference for brands such as Tadano, Liebherr, Demag, Hitachi, and Grove.
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, mechanical repairs, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting technical documentation, including schematics and blueprints.
