• Strong knowledge of Mechanical systems design for buildings such as HVAC, Plumping and Fire Fighting.
• Knowledge of septicity analysis & its related studies.
• Coordinate and obtain the data from suppliers as necessary to complete the process mechanical design for preliminary, biological and tertiary treatments for treatment plants.
• Carry out process mechanical design for treatment plants and pumping stations to PWA standards and quality as and when assigned by the team lead.

• Excellent report writing skills.

• Support the project submittals and No Objection Certificates (NOC) process to the relevant Authorities.
• Allocating resources and time effectively

• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
• Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to Seniors or MEP manager.
• Attend and contribute in team and project meetings as required.
• Complete accurate time sheets by set deadline.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by management.

To carry out feasibility study, concept design, load estimation for new District Cooling projects, lead the concept and detailed design of District Cooling underground networks, plants, and energy transfer stations. To lead and coordinate all activities related to design process independently and liaise and coordinate with all clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of projects.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

**Minimum Experience**:

- 7 years of relevant experience in the design of District Cooling systems with a major District Cooling utility company / infrastructure designer / EPC contractor in GCC
- Experience in mechanical building services (HVAC etc.) / District Cooling

**Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical)**:

- Proficiency in English

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in mechanical design for building systems. The ideal candidate must hold a UPDA Grade A certification and demonstrate expertise in designing HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems in accordance with local and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design process for various building projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial developments.
• Prepare and review detailed mechanical drawings, specifications, calculations, and BOQs.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Standards (QCS), ASHRAE, NFPA, and other applicable codes.

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, with at least 3 years in Qatar.
