Job Title - PMV Maintenance Engineer

Job Location- Lusail, Qatar

Job Overview

A Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial role in keeping equipment, vehicles, and machinery in optimal condition. Responsibilities include routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and addressing breakdowns to ensure smooth project operations. They collaborate with project teams to minimize downtime and enhance overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular equipment inspections, implement preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshoot, and repair machinery breakdowns, manage spare parts inventory, collaborate with project teams to understand equipment needs, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure minimal downtime and maximize the reliability of machinery and vehicles essential for construction projects.
• Supervise all PMV equipment maintenance works within the project sites.
• Schedule and work allocation for maintenance manpower.
• Identify the parts required and issue the MR, MPR and EVSR.
• Coordinate and fulfill the project maintenance requirements.
• Consultant approved PMV in charge for the Projects.
• Represent PMV for weekly meetings with Consultant.
• Coordinate and follow up for the third-party repairs.
• Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in PMV maintenance within the construction industry.
• Relevant certifications in equipment maintenance and experience with construction machinery.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction machinery and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of safety regulations, and hands-on experience in maintenance operations.

• Support Engineering Department to review, update and apply standards and amendments to external standards.
• Plan and coordinate activities of a team of multidiscipline engineers for providing timely delivery of technical services to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate engineering designs, develop and review multi-disciplinary work-scopes for projects and other engineering activities. Ensure the work-scope is comprehensive and clear.
• Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organisations for scope compliance. Liaise with contracted organisations to resolve technical issues.
• Develop, update and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities, contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling activities and effective project delivery.
• Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance.
• Responsible for evaluation, assessment and recommendation of new vendors proposed during project phase.
• Review and evaluate the Contract Changes/Variation to approved guidelines and practices.
• Assess and recommend technical suitability of Tenderers to perform work, within Mechanical Building Services engineering areas of responsibility.
• Responsible and accountable for technical integrity and safety of design.
• Requires minimal guidance and instruction.
• Work accomplishments not subject to third party design checks.
• Support the development of personal technical competency and skills, and those of Coworkers.
• Participate in structured training for Associate, Qatari Engineers.

• Service, maintain, and repair motors, pumps, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical components on cranes from brands such as Tadano, Liebherr, Hitachi, Demag, and Grove.
• Work closely with the workshop manager, provide clear updates, and ensure accurate reporting of all activities.
• Diagnose Electrical issues and perform repairs on-site to minimize downtime.
• Provide technical support, and guidance to operators on crane usage and maintenance.
• Support the development and optimization of the preventive maintenance program by identifying critical components to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Follow company and industry safety procedures and regulations
• Work closely with mechanical team, including technical support, engineering, improve service quality and resolve complex issues.
• Document all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Update the troubleshoot logbook.
• Assist with new equipment installation and qualification.
• Work all shifts flexibly when job demands.

• A higher education degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in an Electrical, Mechanical engineering role
• Excellent English skills. Additional languages are a plus.
• Strong technical knowledge of equipment and machinery, with a preference for brands such as Tadano, Liebherr, Demag, Hitachi, and Grove.
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, mechanical repairs, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting technical documentation, including schematics and blueprints.

Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Our luxury hotel in Al-Rayyan is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of all equipment and systems within the hotel, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance on all equipment and systems in the hotel
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise with equipment or systems
- Keep records of all maintenance performed and report any major repairs or replacements needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance tasks without disrupting guest experience

We are hiring a Software Maintenance Engineer to

work in a dynamic and exciting engineering role in Linux-based infrastructure and applications, covering all layers of the stack, including bare metal, virtualization (KVM), containerization (Docker/LXC/LXD), storage (Ceph and Linux filesystems), networking (OVS, OVN and Core networking), OpenStack, Kubernetes and the open source applications running on top of them. • Prioritize work and manage your time effectively against those priorities
