Role Overview:

We are currently supporting the Ras Laffan Petrochemicals Project (RLPP) in Qatar and are seeking an experienced Mechanical QC Inspector to join the team for the duration of the project. This is a site-based role focused on quality assurance and inspection of mechanical systems and installations in accordance with international codes and project specifications.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct on-site inspections of materials, equipment, and mechanical construction/installation activities.



  • Monitor mechanical installations, alignments, levelling, and completion checks (e.g., tanks and pressure vessels).



  • Witness and verify hydrostatic testing, pad settlement, and storage tank inspections.



  • Inspect placement, orientation, levelness, and fixings for equipment and foundations.



  • Verify compliance with the approved Inspection Test Plan (ITP), codes, and specifications.



  • Review and verify special processes including weld procedures and welder qualifications.



  • Monitor site mechanical activities to ensure alignment with inspection plans, drawings, and method statements.



  • Maintain inspection logs, RFIs, and MIRs; ensure timely documentation of QA/QC records.



  • Create punch-lists, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and monitor corrective actions.

  • Experience with inspection techniques, risk-based inspection principles, and root cause failure analysis.



  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).



  • Detail-oriented with solid analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.

As the Storeroom Lead, you shall determine quantities required and timely stock replenishment and rotation by use of experienced judgment, historical data, occupancy, and utilization. The Storeroom Lead shall establish and maintain minimum stock levels of all expendable supplies and equipment to ensure adequate inventory of items. Job Description

mselect is looking to hire a QC Inspector Welding/NDT (Topside Fabrication and Installation) for a oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar . Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas Downstream Industry with an international consultancy company. Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the quality requirements of the fabrication, construction and installation activities, as detailed in the client's main contractor-approved QC procedure and plans, are implemented by the client's approved project documents
  • Ensure that contractors, subcontractors and Vendors have the required competent resources, implant internationally acceptable practices and deliver a product in compliance with Corporate and Project Quality requirements
  • Monitor all site and fabrication yard welding activities and ensure that all welding joints were welded as per approved WPSs
  • Attend all PQR's mechanical testing to ensure complete implementation of corporate standard requirements
  • Witness all contactors' welders' qualification tests and evaluate their visual and NDT results
  • Witness all site or fabrication yard NDT daily activities, carry out the interpretation for test results, and evaluate the findings outs
  • Monitor the stage (in-process) inspection of offshore steel structure fabrications, and top-side facilities at contractor fabrication premises and verify the product conformity to the client's corporate standard, project specs, and international codes/standard
  • Report daily to the QA/QC Engineer and advise him on the client's main contractor compliance with contract procedures and standards and any matters affecting quality

Requirements

  • Minimum high technical school or equivalent welding/NDT certification from a recognized organization such as AWS, TWI, API, ASME, ASNT etc, TWI CSWIP 32 or AWS SCWI in welding is a must and ASNT LEVEL II in NDT
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas Downstream Industry with an international consultancy company, third-party inspection/certification Company, EPIC contractor or end user in major project implementation is essential
