We are hiring for your skills to responsible to ensure continuous optimization of DQ (Discover Qatar) performance and productivity through coordination of the activities and schedules of Transport and Logistics Team by providing seamless operations and services to customers who use DQ products (airport transit tours, stopover tours, city tours, desert safaris, hotels, car rental) and maintain the smooth running of the operation during each shift whilst ensuring that 5-star customer service is delivered at all times.
Other operational duties would include:
- Assist the Line Manager in leading the Transport and Logistics daily operations by indirectly supervising the transport and logistics team, including tour guides, drivers, and campsite staff. Lead the daily briefing with all the Transport and Logistics team in order to ensure smooth running. Supervise duty rosters, vehicle allocation and dispatching to ensure that the resources are utilized effectively and the service standards are met.
- Monitor the vehicle maintenance of the transport fleet, ensuring conditions and safety standards set by DQ are always met and the fleet is fully operational at all times. Administer, follow up and ensure vehicle insurance is registered periodically and within set timescale. Monitor contingency plans and ensure minimum disruption to transport operations.
- Monitor supplier compliance of service level agreements, scopes of services and deliverables through an effective supplier audit system. Record and resolve incidents and other service disruptions.
- Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analysing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.
- Develop appropriate historical and real-time reporting and share critical operating data/analysis such as quality control and resource allocation reports to management in a timely manner.
- Responsible for loading, maintaining and managing resources in the booking system; scheduling, allocating and dispatching as per operational requirements. Liaise with the higher management on key operational issues such as resource allocation, service breakdowns and customer complaints and provide solutions when necessary.
- Lead and manage special projects such as service standards, environmental standards, vehicle inventory, tour scripts and contract templates from end-to-end process through adequate planning, development and implementation of the projects.
- Ensures the departmental records, necessary for complying with audit requirements are in order.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
