Responsible for the identification, planning, design, and execution of engineering specifications related to structural, electrical, piping, and commissioning systems (as assigned) for ship repair, offshore, and new building projects throughout the project execution cycle.

Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities :

1. Handle engineering assignments related to structural, electrical, piping, and commissioning systems in ship repair, conversion, new build, and offshore projects.
2. Ensure engineering work complies with Departmental Work Instructions, Procedures, and Standards, and implement daily operations in accordance with established standards and procedures.
3. Identify, select, and design various engineering systems for assigned projects; verify calculations as required.
4. Coordinate with trades such as piping, structural, electrical, etc., and project managers to ensure work meets client specifications and class requirements.
5. Supervise and monitor piping layout, structural work, and mechanical systems on main and auxiliary engines, thrusters, etc.
6. Identify, select, and prepare specifications for technical procurements and sourcing.
7. Maintain and update the client-supplied engineering drawing register, record sample drawings issued by the client, and schedule for projects.
8. Supervise and update the yard engineering deliverables list and schedule; submit weekly and monthly progress reports.
9. Prepare and submit engineering designs, method statements, and procedures aligned with client requirements; ensure timely submission of reports and progress details.
10. Ensure timely receipt of client engineering details to facilitate smooth construction; highlight critical document requirements in advance.
11. Prepare and submit as-built drawings, spare parts and interchangeability records, operation and maintenance manuals, commissioning checklists, and completion documents.
12. Comply with safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
13. Perform other duties or assignments as directed to support department operations.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of Leak testing, pipeline pre-commissioning equipment and spreads using nitrogen or water as a test or pigging mediums & familiarity with intelligent pigging.
• Perform detailed pre-engineering, work packs, procedures, ITP, etc., for one or more PPS pre-commissioning and process service lines.

• Maintaining records of all operations with respect to cost control of all aspects of work carried out, (including control of 3rd. party / hired equipment) to optimise cost-effectiveness to the company.
• Ensure the monthly billing process is seamless through the correct paperwork being approved and presented on time.
• Support the operations manager in coordinating the operational activities of service supervisors/operators during site operations and the preparation of equipment for performing an operation.
• Ensure all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance programs and practices are followed to ensure maximum uptimes for all WSG Energy Services equipment.
• The two key result areas are the safe execution of the project for all staff and maximising the growth in revenue and profit via increased work scope and services.
• Focal point for all QHSE-related matters on the project.
• Be able to coordinate third party deliveries to client sites and WSG base, such as liquid nitrogen uses, third party equipment.
• Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft operating system and its applications such as Word, Excel and Bluebeam, having experience with the use of an automated cloud-based project system for flange management and test pack generation.
• Relevant site-based industry experience.
• Previous experience in a Project Management role and/or experience in a Supervisory role.
• Able to complete pre-engineering for one or more disciplines, specify equipment, perform and witness a function test, organize field personnel into working teams and plan the safe execution of a project.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial experience in terms of assisting the preparation of a Tender.
• Negotiating with customers to maximise EBITDA.

Education

The role is responsible for discharging Project Management activities across the Qatar In-Service Typhoon Availability Service Operation at Dukhan Airbase, Qatar, as CAM133. This role will undertake Project Management activities within the respective technical delivery areas to ensure key PM tenets are discharged and upheld. The incumbent will be required to gather, synthesize & integrate information relating to performance (cost, resources, and outputs), generate, monitor and report progress against plans, identify trends, analyze and interpret data and information to ensure all data and information is accurate, generate and publish regular reports, including internal contract review packs and external customer-facing material. This role will be geographically deployed into the respective delivery area, providing a Project Management service into the allocated area. Hierarchically, this role will report into the Project Management Lead, who will provide support, leadership, and the PM governance framework the incumbent will be required to operate within. The role will also support and conduct any ad-hoc PM activities required due to the nature of Operations at Dukhan Airbase. Key Responsibilities

Provide deployed Project Management support to Dukhan Delivery areas Run a subset of the Dukhan Business Rhythm within each delivery area, ensuring Risk, Opportunity, Change (Organisational or Technical) and Spend are reviewed within each team Coordinate, facilitate and compile agreed OPR inputs on behalf of each delivery area Act as the deployed Project Management conscience of the Dukhan Operation, ensuring delivery areas remain within governance, escalating issues as required.
