  • Provide analysis & challenge, critical review, guidance, & recommendations to line management relating to the interpretation and analysis of project control data such that line management are fully briefed and up to date with current status of project or service;
  • Establish, apply, and improve, Project Control procedures, methods and systems, ensuring their appropriate application;
  • Ensure compliance with the Operational Framework utilising appropriate toolsets, relevant Project Management policies, and all project management tools and techniques, e.g. Life cycle management, risk registers, change control, project control etc.;
  • Analyse and interpret project management information across a range of work packages to identify trends and variances, generate variance reports & recommendations and communicate to senior management as appropriate;
  • Interpret costs and budgets to ensure accurate allocation of costs, report variances and trends in line with project control conventions;
  • Provide regular detailed spend reporting to line management, to ensure control of costs
  • Maintain and update change control, risk registers, databases and all other toolsets such that these processes are accurate and up to date;
  • Support the integration of project control information from the PM team to ensure consistency and alignment across the programme
  • Maintain Project Control data within toolsets such as PM Compass, Predict! and the BCR database, ensuring that data is topical at all times.

Resource Management

  • Provide support to the Business Management Lead for control of the Resource management aspects of the Typhoon Availability Service, by interpreting costs and budgets to ensure accurate allocation of costs, report variances and trends in line with the V&V Estimating Resource model;
  • Provide analysis & challenge, critical review, guidance, & recommendations to line management relating to the interpretation and analysis of resource costs associated with Third Party Resource providers and internal BAE Systems roles.
  • Provide TM1 and IBP forecast demands
  • Ensure compliance with the Operational Framework and cross-Functional demands for resource trend data and requirements.

Provide In-Service Project Management And Contract Support (as Required)

  • Provide Operational Project Management support to progress BAE Systems contractual obligations and to supporting functions on base (IT, Human Resources, Business Support Team)
  • Coordinate and collate status reports for senior Contractual Operational reviews for line management review;

Additional Responsibilities / Activities

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide deployed Project Management support to Dukhan Delivery areas
  2. Run a subset of the Dukhan Business Rhythm within each delivery area, ensuring Risk, Opportunity, Change (Organisational or Technical) and Spend are reviewed within each team
  3. Coordinate, facilitate and compile agreed OPR inputs on behalf of each delivery area

  • Monitor and update maintenance plans to meet expected standards and timelines.
  • Prepare and release daily preventive and corrective maintenance schedules and look-ahead plans.
  • Ensure resources, costs, and materials are assigned and updated in SAP for each work order.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, licensors, and contractors to optimize maintenance activities and timing.
  • Manage milestone schedules and ensure they are updated and reported to superiors.
  • Plan additional and urgent work to meet event requirements and record controls.
  • Archive equipment information for continuous process improvement.
  • Monitor front-end loading for unplanned shutdowns to keep departments informed.
  • Ensure detailed planning for system engineering activities aligns with OEM and maintenance standards.
  • Follow up with procurement for materials and services as per work orders.
  • Support timely completion of safety, MICE, and reliability work packages.
  • Prioritize maintenance tasks in line with operational requirements.
  • Meet specific process-related planning requirements.
  • Support departmental KPIs.

Maintenance Cost Management

  • Conduct planning with attention to safety, quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain and update relevant documentation and SAP task lists.

Policies, Systems, Processes, and Procedures

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Implement policies, processes, procedures, and instructions to ensure controlled and consistent work.

Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards to guarantee employee safety and high-quality outputs.

Reporting

  • Prepare timely and accurate reports to meet departmental standards and policies.

Qatarization

  • Contribute to the development of Qatari employees. (Applicable to expatriates only)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.

Experience

  • Required: 5-7 years in the Oil & Gas industry in Maintenance or Reliability.
  • Preferred: Similar experience in Petrochemicals Industry.

Languages

  • Required: Proficient in English.
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of Arabic.
