Job Description
- Prepare Upstream Integrated Gas Volume and Activities plan (UGP/IAP), execute gas production, water injection and surveillance plans ensuring uninterrupted feed-gas delivery from wells and reservoirs to LNG trains. Support production enhancement, development studies, plans and projects to meet company targets in the most cost-effective manner.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
- Assist with development of Integrated Activity and Gas Volume Plans as per UGP process cycles and sequences and liaise with stakeholders to execute and monitor well test and injection programs in coordination with Operations department.
- Contribute towards production guidelines implementation to optimize gas and condensate from Qatargas wells and respond to non-routine or unplanned events requiring the management of special parameters (H2S/Water/Condensate/Casing Pressure).
- Assist in developing contingency plans to address unforeseen production shortages and downtime and ensure production availability from offshore in advance to satisfy the LNG requirements and mitigate the short falls in short term basis.
- Process all production data and parameters at offshore and onshore facilities and monitor performance of production system from reservoir to facilities.

- Maintain and update Well Performance and System Network Performance models and monitor performance as per the operating boundaries set by Qatargas standards.
- Conduct PLT interpretations to enhance and use production profiling to increase understanding and decision making and analyse onshore wastewater injection wells and its associated facilities for uninterrupted water injection.
- Perform stimulation design and selection of various scenarios and support execution of the same. Monitor testing and cleanup of wells post stimulation and complete any change management actions.
- Assess stimulation effectiveness using rig based flow back or PLT data and analyse well performance of producing wells post stimulation job and recommend remedial action.
- Provide input and assess production performance and support WIS and WEP development for re-completions and development wells with stimulation and well clean up input.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
- 5 years' experience in Production Operations, Production Planning, Optimization in the Oil and/or Gas industry, including at least 2 years' experience in production technology, Petroleum engineering applications and tools for production optimization, stimulation, PLT and forecasting.

- Plan and prepare for rigless well work operations in production and injection wells operated by QatarEnergy LNG meeting the Company's target in an engineered and in the most cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest level of safety, environmental and security compliance.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
- Develop the Annual Wellwork Plan interacting with QatarEnergy LNG Stakeholders and services companies. Continuously monitor the progress of wellwork and change/modify the wellwork plan, if needed, with the concurrence of QatarEnergy LNG Stakeholders. Coordinate with Onshore and Offshore Operations, Maintenance Project teams, Drilling & Completions, Petroleum Engineering, SEQ, Warehouse and other disciplines to maximize well utilization, minimize well downtime, efficient planning for execution of wellwork activities.
- Prepare for all rigless wellwork operations in QatarEnergy LNG wells to ensure all resources are available to implement the Annual Wellwork Plan in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct pre-job meeting with QatarEnergy LNG stakeholders, contractors, and service companies to ensure resource availability to implement rigless well work operations as per Annual Well work Plan. Identify the feedback from post-job review meetings and implement the findings in future wellwork and processes.
- Coordinate with QatarEnergy LNG Supply Department for initiating wellwork contracts to ensure all wellwork services contracts are timely available to implement rigless Annual Wellwork plan.

- Establish post-award contracts processes including Instruction to Proceed, Contractor Performance Evaluation, and release of Performance Guarantee. Examine contractor invoices, monitor expenditure of service contracts to ensure cost control of contracts.
- Prepare/develop an effective Integrated Standard WellWork Intervention Manual (SWIM) to ensure all rigless well work systems and processes are technically sound and in accordance with QatarEnergy LNG and International standards.
- Identify new technologies, tools, and latest industry developments. Recommend continuous improvement initiatives through application of state-of-the-art technology and practices to improve wellwork efficiency.
- Conduct any well engineering studies assigned by Head of Well Engineering and recommend the most appropriate course of action.
- Provide support to new Projects during project planning phase and initial start-up to ensure compatibility with QatarEnergy LNG design requirement
- Prepare annual budget & budget forecast for the division incorporating costs of planned rigless wellwork. Check rigless well work expenses against planned wellwork budget to ensure expenditure is in line with the annual wellwork plan.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Natural Gas, Mechanical).
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
- 7 years' experience in wellwork operations in the oil and gas industry, including at least 5 years' experience in rigless wellwork operations, either offshore or onshore wells.
- Wellwork experience in high pressure, high temperature, and toxic gas wells in offshore environment.
