Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's in Geotechnical or Soil Mechanics preferred)
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in geotechnical investigation, design review, and construction advisory, with:
- At least 5 years in a PMCM/PMC or client-representative role
- GCC project experience involving coastal conditions, reclaimed land, and deep foundations
- Prior involvement in large-scale developments such as stadiums, marinas, podium decks, and heavy infrastructure
Preferred Certifications:
- UPDA Grade A or B (Qatar)
- Member of ISSMGE, ICE, or other international geotechnical societies
- Familiarity with ASHGHAL specifications and local geotechnical codes
Skills & Expertise:
Expert in:
- Interpreting soil investigation reports, borehole data, CPT tests, and lab test results
- Advising on foundation design, ground improvement methods, dewatering, and retaining structures
Capable of:
- Providing oversight on geotechnical risk registers, piling test plans, slope stability reviews, and soil-structure interaction
- Supporting construction teams with shoring, excavation support, and marine soil behavior assessments
Proficient in:
- Software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, gINT, AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Monitoring implementation of instrumentation and monitoring programs (e.g., piezometers, inclinometers)
