About the role
We are recruiting for Aircraft Mechanic - Engine Shop to be based in Doha, Qatar.
Aircraft Mechanic - Engine Shop will ensure that all scheduled and unscheduled requirement on bore scope tasks, spare engines /APU tasks such as engine build up, receiving inspection, dispatch inspection, cannibalization of engine parts on AOG situation, spare engine storage and tool housekeeping with in engine facility is performed to the highest possible maintenance standards.
Specific responsibilities of the role include:
Operational
- Performing maintenance tasks such as inspections, component replacements, servicing , QEC build up, modifications, minor repair of engines and APUs as directed by a licensed Engineer or Lead mechanic
- Adhering to all pertinent safety precautions as published in manufacture's and company relevant publications on all tasks in relation to the accomplishment of scheduled, unscheduled 'Borescope inspections and engine build up tasks.
- Responsible for a quick Engine change build up to ensure availability of ready for installation Power plant to support aircraft operation.
- Responsible for engine Fan case Split / mate to support hot spare availability.
- Ensures Engine Module R/I within company capability register.
- Maintains critical engine defect rectification in light, heavy and Doha line to ensure operational reliability.
About you
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Trade or vocational aircraft maintenance qualification or Degree (B.Eng., BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering.
ICAO Type 2 Basic license with minimum 5 years Aircraft Maintenance experience (including apprenticeship). - Qatar Airways fleet engine Type Engine maintenance Experience.
- Airbus and Boeing documentation experience.
- Engine Module / Removal.
- Bore scope support experience.
- V2500, Trent 500, GE CF6-80E1, GE90, GENx, GP7000, Trent XWB build up and Maintenance experience will be an added advantage.
- Bore scope support experience for V2500, Trent 500, GE CF6-80E1, GE90, GTCP /350 and APS3200, GE Nx, GP7000 will be an added advantage.
- Engine Module Removal / Installation Experience.
- Engine Shop Experience.

About the role
You will be responsible to ensure that all scheduled and non-scheduled Aircraft equipment maintenance tasks are carried out under the supervision of GSE Shift leader to the highest possible standard. • Operates aircraft equipment or tooling relating to work area in order to accomplish the maintenance tasks and to maintain serviceability.
• Address and resolve maintenance tasks escalated by the Assistant Mechanic following established protocols set by the maintenance manuals and Part 145 A/C Equipment Workshop Procedures.
• Examines and inspects equipment components for cracks, breaks or leaks and repairs accordingly.
• Report and escalate major repair work needed to be done to the Shift Leader following established protocols set by the maintenance manuals and Part 145 Aircraft Equipment Workshop Procedures.

Responsible for rectifying cabin defects to maintain 5-star standard of all Qatar Airways Fleet following Cabin Standard Manual.
Responsibilities- Adhere to Qatar Airways Technical Procedure Manuals (TPM) and company documents for all maintenance tasks, handling of materials & tools, and other maintenance-related tasks. Follow Aircraft maintenance documents to maintain 5-star standard of Cabin on all Qatar Airways fleet.
- Carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, defect rectification and/or repair of Cockpit seats, Cockpit furnishing, lining and panels, and Cabin crew seats.
- Carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, defect rectification and/or repair of First Class, Business Class and Economy Class seats.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, rectify and/or repair Lavatory and Lavatory equipment; maintain, troubleshoot, rectify and/or repair Galley, Galley equipment and/or Galley inserts.
- Carry out maintenance, preparation, defect rectification and/or repair of Carpet.
- Carry out maintenance, preparation, defect rectification and/or repair of Vinyl.
- Perform Cabin maintenance and related defect rectification and other Cabin tasks as directed by the Cabin Lead Mechanic / Cabin Licensed Engineer and/or Cabin Licensed Technician.
- Coordinate with Cabin team members to complete complex tasks within set timeframes without affecting Aircraft Maintenance Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Support Line maintenance and/or Heavy maintenance teams as instructed by the Cabin supervisor to complete Cabin maintenance tasks on time.
- Adhere to all pertinent safety precautions by following approved documents related to a particular aircraft.
- Ensure replacement parts and components are of approved type, related to the aircraft.
- Closing date for applications: 13-Oct-2025.
- High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification / Diploma or Equivalent (type of diploma based on role) with minimum 3 years of job-related experience OR
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum 2 years of job-related experience
- Minimum 5 years of certifying experience
- Degree or Equivalent Diploma/License in Aircraft Maintenance
- Basic ICAO type license
- Engineering Diploma in Aviation
- Repairing machines or systems using the correct tooling
- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed for the job
- Controlling operations of equipment or systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation related to aircraft maintenance
- Knowledge of cabin interiors fundamentals and related skills in the area of employment

Job Description
We are recruiting for Aircraft Mechanic, to be based in Doha, Qatar.
The Aircraft Mechanic will be responsible for the timely performance of all assigned scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in accordance with the QCAA Regulations, QR Standards and procedure to the highest standards of practice to ensure safety of flight for all Qatar Executive (QE) and third-party aircraft. In this role, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on QE Aircraft and third party to the highest maintenance standards and safety in a cost-effective manner.
As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
- Perform assigned maintenance tasks in strict accordance with the technical documentation provided.
- Plan and carry out assigned tasks in an effective manner by ensuring all required assistance, materials and tooling are on-hand to complete the task within the agreed timeframe.
- Perform inspections/tests of a/c systems, structure and power plants as per technical documentation.
- Clearly communicate with the Lead Engineer status of work performed, any issues arising and provide constructive feedback/recommendations regarding any maintenance difficulties and troubleshooting.
- Adjust, align and calibrate a/c systems using hand tools, gauges, instruments and test equipment.
- Perform operational/functional tests, as well as rigging and adjustment of Power Plant systems, APU's, systems and components using test equipment to determine serviceability and diagnose malfunctions.
- Inspect power plants, APU's and other components for cracks, wear, damage, leaks or incorrect function.
- Modify a/c structures, systems or components in accordance with Engineering Orders, Drawings and/or Technical Publications.
- Assists in the departure and arrival of QE and third-party aircraft.

Qualifications
About you:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum 2 years of job-related experience.
- Experience in Line and Base Maintenance activities.
- In depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance fundamentals.
- Ability to comprehend and implement instructions from Technical Manuals and Documents.
- Capable of determining the most appropriate tools and equipment to perform the tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure.
