Boeing Global Service is seeking for a Fuel Repair Technician to assist in our maintenance efforts in Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar .
Position Responsibilities:
Disassembles systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes.
Performs routine troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Inspects component before installation or usage to verify cleanliness and serviceability of components.
Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications.
Performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).
Able to assign and perform CUT (Cross Utilization Training) as required.
Works under general supervision.
This position requires the ability to obtain the US Security Clearance from the US Government.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience in Aircraft Fuel Systems.
Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience on military fighter platforms (F-16, F-18, F-22, F-5, F-14, or F-15)
Military or vocational school related to discipline or equivalent.

This vacancy is for an international, locally hired position in Al Udeid, Qatar. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll, and will commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable local law. Some of the tasks include:
- Update maintenance tracker on monthly basis and send report to the Supervisor for consolidation to ensure all requests are completed timely.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs of equipment and machinery to facilitate smooth effective and efficient operations.
- Repair aviation components in accordance with the relevant OEM technical publications and company operational requirements.
- Spot check all equipment and tools to ensure it is well maintained -accountable for all spares issued for their proper use and to return any unused spares back to store.
- Responsible for the upkeep of cleanliness in the workshop and on site to meet company policies.
- Comply with production targets - ensure timely completion of assigned tasks with mínimal wastage of resources and manpower as per standard operating procedures, accountability of punctuality and proper timekeeping at site.

**Qualifications**:
**About you**
- High School Qualification with minimum of 1-year experience in ULD/ Galley Cart repair or similar experience.
- Welding certification is a plus.
- Preferably with general knowledge of aviation regulations.
- Good knowledge of troubleshooting and the repair of equipment and machinery.
- Basic understanding of technical and component maintenance manual.
- Ability to properly use of general tools.
- Familiarity with systems within a production environment.
- Basic command of the English language
- Team oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment

**Job Summary**
The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.
**Principal Accountabilities**
- (Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)_
- Operationally checks repaired or modified systems for proper operation.
- Performs quality maintenance on assigned aircraft in accordance with federal aviation regulations, original equipment manufacturers, or military technical orders as specified in the statement of work instructions.
- Repair and replace aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and associated equipment.
- Read and interpret manufacturers' and maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Examine engines for oil leaks, and listens to operating engine to detect and diagnose malfunctions.
- Inspect turbine blades to detect cracks or breaks.
- Test engine operation, using troubleshooting procedures and diagnostic test equipment, to identify source of malfunction.
- Replace or repair worn or damaged components using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.
- Remove and install engine from aircraft.
- Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects.
- Repair or replace defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft.
- Perform miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.
- May service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition.
- May specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies.
- May specialize in engine repair.
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
**Knowledge & Skills**
- Knowledge of aircraft sub-systems, including maintenance parameter, systems operation, limitations, and technical orders.
- Ability to become qualified and perform engine runs for the aircraft type they are assigned to support.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret technical duties is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization.
- Proven track record demonstrating adaptability to change and the ability to respond to challenges in a changing environment.
**Experience & Education**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) or more years’ aircraft mechanic experience as an aircraft mechanic on assigned aircraft required, five (5) years preferred.
- Completion of formal maintenance training on assigned aircraft is desired.
- Qualified by the appropriate USG armed forces aircraft mechanic maintenance course or civilian equivalent training.
- Recent full-time experience in aviation maintenance with the assigned aircraft during the past 12 months.
- Six (6) months of flight line and overhaul & inspection experience.
**Physical Requirements/Working Environment**
- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders and work stands.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- May be required to carry, push or pull up to and may exceed 50 pounds.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds to height of four feet and be required to lift up to 35 pounds to height of 7 feet.
