Job Description

Provide technological and commercial contributions in activities related to product management activity within Es'hailSat. Conduct thorough technical feasibility studies as well as contribute to assessing the commercial viability of products and services in coordination with Marketing, Business Development, Sales and Technical teams.

Job Description

Conduct system and customer/service requirements analysis and calculations; and identify capacity requirements.

Advise Sales on solutions that are easily implemented, cost effective and technically viable.

Contribute to the assessment of commercial feasibility of new services.

Develop KA band applications in broadcasting and broadband data distribution.

Study new service proposals/requirements and recommend technical and commercial feasibility.

Assist Sales develop technical and programmatic proposals for potential customers.

Develop partnerships with end-user terminal/equipment manufacturers and integrators.

Provide technical assistance to Marketing to enhance product promotion and provide key selling points from a technical perspective.

Provide post-launch support for product and services as required to ensure product/services continuity and relevance in market.

Assist Marketing to conduct market research and technology evaluations to identify applied solutions and prepare recommendations to management.

Maintain close liaison with Marketing, Business Development, Technical, and Sales teams to develop and roll out new products, services, and solutions.

Provide inputs and suggestions for the continuous improvement of Es'hailSat products and services considering 'best practice', changes in international standards, and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.

Assist accurate Management reports to provide timely feedback to the Manager, PD on product development initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

BEng Electrical/Electronic or Telecom Engineering or equivalent degree

Certification in relevant functionally related training programs covering Satellite technology, Broadcast services, VSAT, Telecommunications services, product development, etc.

Minimum Experience:

4 to 6 years' experience in satellite communications and system calculations

Knowledge of types of services and techniques relating to the job (calculations, assignments etc.)

VSAT commercialization, sizing, and Ka Band experience is a plus

In-depth understanding of satellite communications, satellite link analysis, etc

Knowledge of satellite designs and limitations

Working knowledge of satellite analysis tools

Job-Specific Skills:

Knowledge of a wide range of satellite services and requirements

Ability to use one's initiative and adapt to customer requirements

Striving for better efficiencies and finding simpler ways of doing things

Ability to liaison with the Marketing, Business Development, Sales and Technical Departments in terms of technical specifications and recommendations

Excellent problem-solving skills

Understanding of satellite link analysis principals

Knowledge of satellite communications

Excellent organizational skills (tracking correspondence, etc.)

Energetic and self-starter

Task driven and goal oriented

It also requires deep technical expertise with the most common cloud technologies including those of hyperscaler offerings such as Google Cloud, Azure and sovereign cloud. C-17 Product Data Management Specialist

Boeing is hiring for a C-17 PDM specialist in Al-Udeid, Qatar.

Role Responsibilities:

  • The position requires the successful applicant to deal directly with the military customer at Al Udeid Air Base and its personnel on a daily basis.
  • The applicant must demonstrate the ability to adapt to a different cultural environment and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • The applicant will verify that the customer logistics data management records received meet documented regulations and will coordinate with customers to resolve routine problems regarding data accuracy and data integrity.
  • The applicant will transcribe the customer data into the appropriate data systems. These systems will include the US Air Force FMxC2 system, C-17 Standard Flight Data Recorder, and C-17 engine Quick Access Recorder repositories.
  • The applicant will ensure data quality, maintain process records and files, keep accountability records and make final disposition of data, records and files.
  • The successful applicant will be responsible for responding to customer requests for a variety of pre-programmed and customized C-17 data reports extracted from the data systems, principally from the US Air Force FMxC2 system.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • US Security Clearance Required - US Citizen
  • Candidates should also have previous experience working in an environment where flexibility is essential and prompt responses to ad-hoc customer requests are expected.

Desired Qualifications Experience:

  • Prior experience utilizing the USAF FMxC2 data system is beneficial
  • Ideal candidates will have a working knowledge of performing product data management and configuration status accounting tasks in support of Department of Defense contracts as well as knowledge of quality systems (Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS) and Aerospace Standard (AS9100)).
  • Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is desired.

This International Local Hire Employee (ILHE) position is in support of the C-17 Globemaster III Sustainment (G3) contract.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Al-Udeid, Qatar. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll and will commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Qatari law.
