**General Description of Role and Responsibilities**:
- **Performance analysis and margin control**:
- Prepare forward-looking analyses and comments re Gross Margin, Income Statements and Project Detail and distribute to relevant parties.
- Distribute Gross Margin report to Project Managers/ Country managers and clarify/rectify queries
- Prepare the Country cost analysis report for senior management.
- Preparation of revenue to be recognized on lump-sum projects in line with SOX / GAAP requirements.
- Expense approvals; to check correct coding for expenses & make sure proper approvals are in place to ensure correct classification.
- Utilization; Monthly review of direct employees utilization and reporting.
- **Planning and forecasting**:
- Preparation of Budget & backup.
- Preparation of Forecast & backup.
- Prepare Cash forecasts: Rolling forecast with true-up.
- Collaborate in determining/forecasting bonding requirements
- **Follow up on a weekly basis of A.R.**:
- Pro-activity in identifying problem accounts and developing corresponding action plans and follow up.
- Preparation of at least monthly reviews with country Vice President and Controller (Finance).
- Preparation of AR report with up to date comments and supplementary reports (eg. Invoice detail, payments schedule, reconciliations).
- Maintenance of reconciliation between amounts invoiced, accounts receivable and collections.
- **Review project contracts**:
- set-up of new projects (PIF) and prepare the necessary checklist, ensuring availability on shared drive network.
- **Perform other duties/prepare other reports as required by Finance/ Senior Management, including but not limited to**:
- Overview and take part in the preparation of monthly project invoices to Clients.
- Assist with audits and prepare auditors’ work papers as required.
- Co-ordination with banks on bonding, bank accounts etc.
- Review and coordination of tax filings.
- Assist in accounting during the month's close.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor of Business Administration, or equivalent.
- CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or equivalent.
- Min 5-10 years of experience in the field.
- Good understanding of accounting & a few years of accounting experience.
- Experience on the international scene.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Reporting on the performance of projects.
- Preparing forecasts, variance analysis.
- Ideally will have worked on project-based assignments.
- Arabic language speaker is a plus.
