Your OpportunityStantec's Management Consulting Group in the Middle East is looking for a result oriented Asset Management Specialist/Engineer to work closely with our client in a transformation journey for their Asset Management and investment planning department.
Your Key Responsibilities- In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Stantec Team in delivering transformational work as part of our Management Consulting Group in Qatar, assisting and guiding the Client in the re-alignment of their existing processes and procedures for the implementation of a transformational Roads O&M Framework. The candidate will be working from our client's office and is a client-facing position to provide management consulting service to our client. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Support client Management in the review, development and implementation of Contract Work Requests under a new Performance-based Roads O&M Framework.
- Train, coach and guide the Client asset management engineers in the revision of Asset management business policies, procedures and workflows.
- Support the client engineers in the review of Contractor submitted multi-year asset management plans for road assets within the roadway Right-of-Way (ROW).
- Support the client engineers and asset investment professionals in developing multi-year plans, budgets, work requests, and assist in coordination with other stakeholders and government agencies and asset owners.
- Develop Asset Management Policies, Frameworks, and Governance structures.
- Develop Asset life-cycle plans.
- Develop Asset inspection, maintenance, and condition assessment methodologies, practices, and procedures for a variety of Assets within the ROW.
- Identify, analyze, and study existing data sources, asset and risk management processes, procedures, and associated data sets.
- Develop and Integrate asset management systems and practices into organizational policies and frameworks.
- Produce presentations, circulars and other marketing material to promote achievements of the business.
- Present to external and internal stakeholders at all levels to accomplish the Client's program goals.
- Develop training workshop materials, presentations, and sessions for the client and the Contractor teams on asset management policies, procedures, and contractual provisions.
- Research oriented individual with attention to details.
- Awareness of current asset management methodologies and tools in-line with ISO 55000:2014.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently to firm deadlines and manage multiple competing priorities.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Time-management skills - ability to work under pressure with dynamic deadlines.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural work environment and build effective relationships with the Client.
- Exposure to analytical data and proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, and understanding of database management.
- Capturing and amending process flow diagrams using Visio or similar.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills to develop dynamic stories and present analyses.
- Well-developed written communication skills for presentations, technical reports, correspondence, and proposals.
- Excellent oral and written English skills.
- Working knowledge of road asset management, asset life cycle planning and costing, operations and maintenance contracts.
- Exposure to and experience with government Clients in client-facing roles.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, business administration, Asset Management, or related field from a Western country.
- Minimum 20 years post-graduation experience.

Experience:
Minimum of 25 years of experience in a relevant Industry, with at least 15 years in a leading role, preferably within the roads or drainage sectors. Both regional and international experience is required. A minimum of 8 years of experience shall be gained working in North America, W. Europe, Australia, or equivalent. Proven experience leading transformational projects and managing cross-functional teams. Education:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in the USA, Canada, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand. A Master’s degree is preferred. Required relevant Chartered status and Professional License(s). Skills:
