Hi there! We are Testlio, a global software testing company with its own freelance network. Our freelancers test apps from companies across the globe. Testlio is a great place for people who value the freedom and flexibility of remote work.
At the moment, we are looking for freelance software testers based in Qatar to join us in testing our client’s app, a leading food-delivery platform focused focused on a tailored offering for each local market.
To participate in this project, you will need to create an account on our platform. Through this account, we can assign you testing tasks. You will be asked to use our website for defect tracking and will be given some material to go through to prepare you for testing.

- Location: Testlio is a 100% remote company. Seriously, you can work from the coffee shop, your home, or while waiting for class.

- Payment: You are paid by the hour, not by the bug. This means you get paid even if you did not uncover any bugs.
- Age : You have to be at least 18 years old
- Location : Must live anywhere in Qatar
- Availability : We do not have a set schedule for testing this app. We will let you know in advance when testing will take place via email. We estimate that the testing task itself will take only 1 hour . You can let us know then if you are available or not.
- Payment Instruments : We will be testing the client’s payment flow. In this scenario you will be acting like real user making a purchase on our client’s software using your own payment method. You will be asked to use the food delivery app to make an order and then cancel it. In cases in which you may not cancel the order, depending on the testing task, we will reimburse you fully.
- We are primarily looking for individuals who can do this type of payments testing with a Debit Card from one of these banks: Qatar International Islamic Bank, Qatar Islamic Bank (SAQ), Qatar National Bank (QPSC), Commercial Bank of Qatar (QSC), Qatar National Bank, Masraf Al Rayan, Dukhan Bank, The Commercial Bank of Qatar (QSC), Doha Bank Limited, HSBC Middle East Bank
- Devices : any of the following: iOS Mobile, Android Mobile
- Experience : Software testing experience is a plus, but if you are new to testing, we offer free courses to help you learn and grow.
- We have a preparatory course that will teach you more about Payments Testing practices.

**Job responsibilities**
- Review and understand the business processes, system development functional specification and non-functional requirements documents.
- Prepare testing artefacts that ensure coverage of functional and non-functional requirements, including test scenarios, test cases, test data, defect reports.
- Conduct functional and non-functional systems testing.
- Report defects clearly explaining the test cases and test scenarios to the development team.
- Provide support to the development team to understand the defect, data used for testing and support the development team in root cause analysis
- Prepare software testing metrics including defect counts, status of defects, ageing of defects, defect per module etc.
- Ensure 100% execution of functional and non-functional systems test cases.
- Create automation scripts for test cases and ensure that they are integrated with the CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate the generation of relevant metrics to ensure that proper visibility is provided to the quality.

**Education and Experience**
**Without a Degree**:
High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification / Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
**With a Degree**:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
**Preferred**
- Experience in Software development and maintenance
- Airline industry experience though not essential would be an added advantage
**Job Specific Skills**
- Command of English language
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements, Design, Development, Build, Release Management, and Quality Assurance.
- Hands on experience in devloping automation scripts and synthetic transactions using Selenium/Appium and Cucumber.
- Hands on expereince in building automation frameworks and integration with the CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide technical expertise in Test Automation, Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Tools and Techniques.
- Experience in testing mobile apps and websites using cloud farms like Browerstack
- Experience in monitoring of all the QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement. Implement steps required to improve the processes.
- Gather and present testing metrics and testing activities for the projects to key stakeholders.
- Must have good analytical skills and must be a good learner of new business processes, systems and should focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automation.
- Ensure the proper usage of available tools to gain the maximum benefit of the QA effort. This includes testing tools for functional, automation, etc.
- Must have good customer facing skills.
