About the positionWe are looking for a Middle QA Automation Engineer to join our backend development team. You'll be working on core backend services and REST APIs, contributing to both manual and automated testing. This role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of QA fundamentals and some experience in API automation; who is ready to grow further in a strong engineering environment.
Responsibilities- Design and execute test cases for backend services and APIs (manual and automated)
- Expand test automation coverage using Java-based frameworks (e.g., RestAssured, TestNG)
- Analyze REST APIs with Swagger
- Track, document, and report bugs in Jira
- Maintain and update test cases in the Test Management System
- Participate in requirement analysis and provide test estimates
- Collaborate with developers and analysts to understand system behavior and edge cases
- Contribute to test documentation and continuous process improvements

- Collaborate with the design team for red markups and resolve any discrepancies in drawings or wiring.
- Prepare detailed progress and quality reports highlighting key metrics and improvement areas.
- Ensure all work complies with QCS2014 and established safety protocols.
- Maintain proper documentation of all inspections, test procedures and findings.
- Diploma in Electrical Instrumentation Automation or related technical field.
- 7-8 years of hands-on experience in QA / QC roles within automation PLC panel assembly or system integrator environments.
- Strong knowledge of PLC wiring techniques, industrial automation standards and schematic interpretation.
- Proficient in reading and analyzing design drawings, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Valid Qatar Visa with NOC and driving license.
