CAD Technician

Parsons is seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Technician to join our team In this role, you will support engineering and construction teams by producing accurate technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software, ensuring all work complies with project requirements and design standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Preparing detailed and accurate drawings, layouts, and plans using AutoCAD and other computer-aided design software.
• Supporting engineering teams by converting conceptual designs and sketches into technical drawings.
• Reviewing and modifying existing drawings to reflect design changes and project updates.
• Coordinating with site teams to ensure that drawings align with actual site conditions and construction progress.
• Ensuring all drawings are prepared in accordance with client standards and project specifications.
• Maintaining organized drawing records and ensuring updated versions are readily available.
• Assisting in the preparation of construction documentation, layouts, and as-built drawings.
• Collaborating with various engineering disciplines to produce accurate and coordinated technical drawings.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering from an accredited institution, subject to approval by the Engineer.
• Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable experience in drafting for construction projects.
• At least 5 years of experience working on environment firm construction sites, with a strong understanding of site practices.
• Proficient in using AutoCAD and other computer-aided design tools.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to work with various design software applications.

The main duties of CAD Technician the include, but are not limited to:

· Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.

· Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.

· Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Senior Landscape CAD Technician - 3D BIM Modeler

Doha Qatar

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Landscape CAD Technician - 3D BIM Modeler to join our team In this role you will get to perform basic to complex drafting assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of drafting standards, practices, and techniques.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Prepares technical packages from concept design, through detailed design to tender and contract documentation.
• Leads and performs landscape architecture design which requires a fundamental knowledge of landscape, planting and irrigation design, aesthetics, and/or design standards, practices, and techniques.
• Prepares high quality presentation drawings.
• Prepares high quality presentation 3D BIM modeling.
• Should be able to read Landscape Architectural drawing mark ups and comments.
• Provides support and production assistance to team members
• Completes other duties as assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bacheors Degree in Landscape Architecture or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 + years relevant landscape design experience.
• Preferably with work experience in GCC.
• Proficient in Civil 3d & Revit.
