**Job Summary**:
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Perform L2/L3 deep technical support to render broadcast first level support for ON AIR broadcast systems that have persisting service affecting problems, or design flaws,
- Participates in the coordination of vendors and service integrators in the design and delivery of new and repaired broadcast equipment,
- Lead broadcast engineering support team during execution of the preventive and corrective, maintenance plan as well as BCP/DR drills and suggest improvements with implementation
- Recommend approval to the expert for all system designs, drawings and solutions proposed in compliance with Al Jazeera established project guidelines,
- Recommends solution, system design and upgrade requirements for validation by the Expert
- Conduct periodic technical system audit to determine whether optimization required by comparing them to latest technological advancement that will lead to improved system performance at lower operations cost,
- Provides high‐level solution design and analysis with justification for implementing the solution within the broadcast systems section,
- Analyses system upgrades proposals and recommend alternative solution to optimize system design and configuration with cost-effective approach,
- Constantly evaluates proposed System Design and Configuration of existing and proposed systems,
- Oversee the Review and Validates Project Technical evaluation and clarifications before sending to bidders to ensure consistency with the end‐user requirements and compliance with industry standards and Al Jazeera established guidelines,
- Provide robust solutions for interconnected components of a complex system involving many other groups and organizations within Al Jazeera,
- Remain current on technology trends and identify those that can provide benefit for AJMN
- Analyses and recommends all design modification and change requests of projects based on the change in requirement,
- Conducts technology survey available in the Market to determine latest innovations and cost‐effective solutions,
- Performing incident, problems, tasks and change management according to best practices and industry standards with compliance to ITIL/ITSM framework and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by his/her superiors/DLM
**Education requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Telecommunication/Computer Engineering
**Experience Requirements**:
- 10 years’ experience in Broadcast Engineering and relevant equipment’s operation / maintenance
- 5 years Projects Experience related to Broadcast/Broadcast IT domain
**Broadcast Knowledge**:
- ON AIR graphics and creative systems
- VSM Routing & Control system
- GrassValley Video Routers
- Riedel Talkback
- Station’s Master Clock
- Glue and other equipment installed in Central Apparatus CAR Rooms
- Vizrt all system support including Viz Engines & Clients, Viz Mosart, Immersive System, Viz
- Weather, Viz Social, Viz One
- HSE KVM system etc.
- Central TX full support including Pebble Beach Automation System, Harmonics & EVS video
- Servers, CTX Video Mixer, CTX output chain etc.
- Central MCR Broadcast related system Support
- Studio Lightings including Lighting consoles, DMX Network and Lighting rigs

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Telecom Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Minimum Experience:A multi-talented lead with 10+ years of experience in Engineering, specifically in Project Delivery & Operation of multi-trades such as Telecommunications, Management, and Media & Broadcasting Industries.
Proven success in leading technical projects for Mega Events like Sports Tournaments.
Strong leadership skills and professional rapport with diverse backgrounds, capable of managing, upgrading, and implementing innovative solutions to facilitate digital and technical Tournament operations.
- Interface with development teams to support projects or implementations.
- Review vendor contracts for technical specifications and capabilities.
- Handle projects based on CATV, IPTV, Digital & Analogue systems inside venues.
- Supervise the implementation, development, integration, and testing of Video/Audio Broadcast Systems, including collection, terrestrial transmission, professional decoding, encoding, monitoring, and modulation of IPTV and Multicast Video products.
- Manage the operation of Broadcast-grade IP Spine and Leaf switches.
- Oversee international connectivity supporting Broadcast Services as per the IT Requirements Handbook.
- Ensure the delivery of CATV and multi-channel IPTV systems are fully redundant.
