Here's a little taste of your day-to-day:
Administration- Assist in identifying and selecting suppliers, including order follow-up and vendor file management.
- Assist in reviewing all the Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders processed by subordinates.
- Participate in negotiations for service contracts.
- Identify and develop reliable sources of supply.
- Ensure all efforts are exhausted in obtaining the best possible quotations.
- Regularly conduct price comparisons among other hotels.
- Maintain good relationships with user departments and suppliers.
- Assist in overseeing and ensuring the effective implementation of the tender system to maintain the continuous supply of quality goods and services.
- Assist in ensuring the timely preparation of purchase orders so that all approved requests are ordered and goods are delivered on time.
- Conduct periodic market surveys to determine and validate the availability and prices of market goods.
- Keep track of all outstanding purchase orders and generate monthly reports per department.
- Participate in negotiations for service contracts.
- Organize storage for inventory items and implement policies to maximize cost-effectiveness.
- Obtain competitive quotations and bids.
- Identify and develop reliable sources of supply.
- Process purchase requests from departments, familiar with regular hotel items.
- Assist in processing replacements for damaged or near-expiry items and service for damaged equipment.

- Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification
