Hamilton Aquatics is seeking a dedicated Development Coach to join our dynamic coaching team in Doha, Qatar. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping young swimmers into competitive athletes while fostering a love for the sport. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering and planning high-quality coaching sessions for our Development Squads, nurturing talent, and promoting the values that define our success.

Key responsibilities

Coaching and Development

  • Deliver and plan sessions for Foundation, Development, and Potential Squads, as directed by the Head of Development.
  • Deliver technique-focused, skill-enhancing sessions aligned with the Hamilton Aquatics philosophy.
  • Track swimmer attendance, set individual targets, and ensure training evolves to meet their progress.
  • Promote participation in competitions, advise on event selection, and attend competitions locally and overseas as needed.
  • Recruit swimmers into the squads and talent-identify athletes from our Learn to Swim program to ensure full squads and a high-quality pipeline.

Communication and Teamwork

  • Maintain proactive communication with swimmers, parents, and staff.
  • Handle inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating where necessary.
  • Report to the Head of Development daily, attend weekly coach meetings, and lead area meetings with documentation.

Quality Assurance and Safety

  • Adhere to all child protection policies, Hamilton Aquatics' code of conduct, and health and safety protocols.
  • Manage site responsibilities, including pool safety checks and first aid as necessary.

Administration Duties

  • Complete necessary administration tasks, including booking and competition entries.
  • Ensure swimmer attendance and progression records are up to date.
  • Support the Head of Development with new recruit inductions.

Community Engagement

  • Represent Hamilton Aquatics professionally at competitions, galas, and events.
  • Organise and deliver clinics with local schools to build relationships and raise swimming levels.
  • Lead school training sessions and assist schools in inter-school competitions.

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager - Flow Meters is responsible for developing and driving critical initiatives to grow Emerson's Flow Meter business across Qatar. The role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, expanding market share, engaging with key customers, and promoting Emerson's Flow Meters technologies to meet customer requirements and business targets.

This position requires close coordination with internal partners (product management, application engineering, global industry teams, local sales team) as well as building strong external relationships with end users, EPCs, consultants, and government entities.

For this role, your responsibilities will be:
  • Market & Opportunity Development
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across customer segments (EPCs, End Users, OEMs) in strategic industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Power, Water, and Metals. Build a robust funnel with focus on early-stage visibility (Pre-FEED, FEED) and high-value pursuits. Identify customer problems with existing flow technologies, competition flow meters, application challenges etc. and convert into an opportunity by providing suitable solution to customer from Emerson Flow solutions.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers, engineering team members, and procurement influencers. Act as a counterpart to customers' subject matter experts and coordinate with account managers to ensure aligned engagement.
  • Product Positioning & Demonstration
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, technology days, and awareness sessions. Manage customer validation and AVL processes to position Emerson Flow Meters as preferred solutions. Understand customer applications and suggest best suited flow technology from Emerson portfolio while meeting Emerson strategic imperative.
  • Sales and Marketing Campaigns
  • Develop and complete Sales & Marketing campaigns in coordination with Local Sales team and HQ marketing team to create awareness and generate Sales Leads. Converting those leads into opportunities and continuously update them in CRM.
  • Strategic Execution
  • Develop and implement a focused annual business development plan aimed at expanding the Flow Meters customer base, increasing market penetration, and growing bookings in line with annual objectives.
  • Coordination with Global & Internal Teams
  • Collaborate with Emerson's global Flow Meter Business Unit, factory teams, HQ Product Management Teams, and engineering centers to ensure competitive positioning, technical support, and alignment on central initiatives.
  • Project Funnel Management
  • Build and maintain a live, accurate project funnel covering KOB1, KOB2, and KOB3 opportunities. Own assigned pursuits end-to-end, from early engagement through successful PO conversion. Ensure regular updates and forecast accuracy through CRM.
  • Tendering & Proposal Support
  • Support the proposal and tendering process in collaboration with the inside sales and application teams. Provide commercial and technical inputs throughout bidding, clarifications, and negotiation phases.
  • Post-Sales Enablement & Follow-Through
  • Support account managers in driving repeat business and increasing customer value beyond the initial sale, through proactive follow-up, additional product positioning, and lifecycle solutions.
  • Competitive Intelligence & Market Insights
  • Track competitor presence, product positioning, and pricing trends. Share insights regularly with the leadership and factory teams to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Compliance & Ethics
  • Ensure 100% compliance with Emerson's trade compliance, ethics policies, and HSE standards. Participate in HSE training and incident reporting processes. Promote safety in all engagements internally and externally.

Who you are?
  • You are continuously looking forward to developing and improving your professional skills.
  • Strong understanding of flow measurement technologies (Coriolis, Ultrasonic, Vortex, Magnetic, DP Flow, etc.).
  • Proven experience working with EPCs, End Users mainly Oil/Gas, and government utilities.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Arabic is a plus.

For this role, you will need.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred).
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in technical sales or business development in the field of flow measurement or process automation.

As a Trainer for Learning & Development in Doha, you will play a critical part in shaping the learning culture within our retail teams across Qatar and India. You will be responsible for delivering in-person sessions in Qatar and virtual training for India across core programs such as Retail Induction, Accreditation, Omnichannel, and Frontline Leadership.Your key responsibilities include the below:

Overview

Job Summary and Purpose

Develop, implement, and oversee soft skill training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance, through assessing training needs, designing training materials, conducting sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives to ensure that employees are provided with the required development to fulfill their work requirements and the shipyard overall goals. In addition, support and facilitate the full performance management cycle in coordination with the HR Manager.

Accountabilities
  1. Learning & Development:
    1. Identify the soft skills training requirements for Qatar Shipyard employees by analyzing the outcomes of the learning needs analysis, capability evaluations, surveys, and other relevant data sources.
    2. Develop Qatar Shipyard soft skills training plan and calendar to fulfill the identified training requirements.
    3. Prioritize training resources considering the relevant requirements and identify budget requirements based on the outcomes of the TNA process, capability assessment, etc.
    4. Manage and organize the development and start-up of new Training Programs as required such as Soft Skills Training Programs.
    5. Assess, recommend, and select the most suitable training delivery approach/provider (i.e., Internal or external training, In-house/external Instructor, etc.).
    6. Facilitate the delivery of the planned soft skills training and assess the effectiveness of the delivered training.
    7. Monitor and manage the performance of the external trainers and instructors when applicable and conduct formal classroom observations to evaluate the effectiveness of delivered training programs and conduct consecutive feedback sessions as needed.
    8. Ensure the best utilization of educational technology and training workshops to elevate the soft skill sets of the workforce to effectively meet job requirements.
    9. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the trainings are delivered in a high-quality manner.
    10. Facilitate or arrange train-the-trainer programs to build internal training capabilities.
  2. Performance Management:
    1. Manage all phases of Qatar Shipyard Performance Management cycle (planning, review, and appraisal).
    2. Support the Performance Improvement process for employees who are underperforming in their current roles by ensuring that Performance Improvement Plans are in place and well tracked.
  3. Continuous Improvement:
    1. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new training methodologies.
    2. Adjust training programs based on feedback and changing organizational needs.
  4. Administrative Duties:
    1. Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes.
    2. Manage training budgets and resources efficiently.
  5. Generic Accountabilities:
    1. Follow approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures.
    2. SHEQS: Adhere to all relevant SHEQS policies, procedures, instructions, and controls so that Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions provides a safe, world-class, secure, and environmentally responsible service to customers, the public, and its own people.
    3. Prioritize own and colleagues' well-being while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Adheres to all health & safety protocols, participates in wellbeing & wellness Programs, and promptly reports any concerns regarding the wellbeing of oneself & others to foster a culture of best practice.
    4. Carry out any other duties as directed by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications, Experience and Job Skills

Qualifications:

  • Certified Trainer with recognized Train the Trainer certification.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering training programs.
  • Previous experience in SuccessFactors' Performance Management domain is an added advantage.
