Position Summary

The NICU Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role involves monitoring, assessing, and supporting infants with life-threatening conditions while offering education and emotional support to families.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns in the NICU.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and operate specialized neonatal equipment (ventilators, incubators, infusion pumps, etc.).
• Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

The Clinical Dietician reflects the mission, vision, and values of the organization, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

The Clinical Dietician's role is to develop and implement nutrition therapy plans for patients by evaluating nutrition parameters and selecting appropriate therapies to restore or maintain optimal nutritional status. Provide nutrition education for the community and other health professionals as a means of ensuring comprehensive care.

Provide nutritional assessments utilizing medical information, anthropometric data, laboratory values and diet history

• Develop nutrition care plans by selecting nutrition therapies to meet the medical, developmental and socio-cultural needs, age and interest level of the patient Identify appropriate nutritional interventions:
• Provide recommendations regarding calorie/protein supplements, enteral support and vitamin/mineral supplements and other commercial products.

Purpose:

The Clinical Pharmacist serves as a pharmaceutical caregiver by efficiently designing, recommending, monitoring, and evaluating patient specific pharmacotherapy to ensure optimal outcomes. The Clinical Pharmacist serves as a Pharmacy resource for Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Medical and Nursing staff, as well as other Healthcare Professionals. The Clinical Pharmacist must comply with all the rules governing the role of a pharmacist as issued by the State of Qatar.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Duties:

• To assess, plan, and implement medication assisted treatment.
• To check prescriptions to ensure that there are no errors and that they are appropriate and safe for the individual client.
• To provide advice on the dosage of medicines and the most appropriate form of medication, for example, tablet, injection, ointment or inhaler.
• To prepare and quality-check sterile medications, for example, intravenous medications.
