- Should have a minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in Fusion Loan IQ System (by Finastra) support and implementation.

The incumbent is primarily responsible on assistance to the installation, monitoring and maintenance of the server operating systems and applications of Core Banking Support team. The incumbent will ensure that security, operational continuity and contingency controls for every assigned system platform.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions:
A. Shareholder & Financial:
- Provide Assistance on daily system administrational tasks and support to Core Banking Systems operations in the Test Environment.
B. Customer (Internal & External):
Ensure relations with vendors are maintained for systems software, application, and hardware delivery and maintenance.
Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with all other related departments and units to achieve the Group's goals/ objectives.
Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when required.
Report and Escalate to direct managers on issues and problems faced in the management of the system.
C. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):
Provide assistance on Installation, monitoring and maintenance of test systems and applications for Core Banking systems.
Provide a reliable operating systems environment in order that the applications meet the required service levels.
Guide the documentation for specific platforms' procedures and guidelines for business continuity and contingency planning of the Group's systems architecture within the overall contingency planning policy of the Group; and check daily outcomes.
Direct the documentation for specific platforms' procedures and guidelines for data and systems security of the Group's main systems within the overall systems security policy of the Group; and check daily logs and exceptions.
Monitor assigned main systems operating systems and application performance sizing and utilization.
Provide automated and documented procedures in order to support simplification of data center operations activity for daily procedures and synchronization of backup site.
Provide automated and documented scripts for backup and retention of data on external storage within the backup and retention policy of each main system.
Execute change management procedures with version and backtrack control
Ensure timely resolution of operating systems and application failures on main systems.
Provide guidance to Manager of Core Banking Support in handling more complex jobs.
Report to the Direct Manager and indirectly to Senior Manager of Core Banking Support for approvals of work and prioritization of projects on hand.
Installation and upgrades of operating systems.
Monitor response and utilization of main systems applications and resources.
D. Learning & Knowledge:
Understand assigned systems' internals, architecture and limitations in deciding on methods of problem solving which may impact overall resource availability and time to deliver changes. Perform careful analysis to ensure congruence with the Group's long term planning and approved strategy.
Be aware of systems security in application and system software to implement and monitor policy and ensure full protection of software and data from un-authorized access or disruption of services.
Knowledge on Finastra suite of solution (i.e. Trade Innovation, Trade Portal and Message Manager) and third-party technologies (i.e.,Openshift, Oracle Weblogic , IBM MQ, DB2) are a plus.
E. Other:
- Ensure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related IT degrees.
Required Special Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Arabic (preferable).
Strong analytical, problem solving, decision-making and financial management skills.
Self-driven with well-developed leadership, motivational and team-building skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Operating Environment/ Location:
The systems support environment provides the platform to run systems using server hardware, and operating systems to provide secure, convenient, and highly available systems for users across the Group. In addition to securing such an environment, each administrator is assigned a system or group of systems depending on experience, training, and need.
The referenced position will be based in Qatar and will involve liaison with the support functions at HO.
Framework and Boundaries:
Follow applicable policies and procedures.
Provide feedback on latest system requirement and certification matrix for continuous system improvement.
Communications and Working Relationships:
- Systems are made available to users via the assigned channels within IT which is a direct responsibility of Manager of Core Banking Support, with prior approval from Senior Manager Core Banking Support & Head of Core Banking Support.

During Your Tenure As a Core Banking Techno Functional Consultant, You Will Demonstrate And Develop Your Capabilities In The Following Areas
- Advisory & Strategy Engagements
- Conduct current state assessments of core banking platforms, products, and processes.
